Kike was involved in a car accident this afternoon. Not sure of all of the details yet. Just got a text that he is at an urgent care unit with NO broken bones. Only bruises. I'll report more when I hear.

If that is the truck that hit him it looks like he was rear ended.

He goes in the prayer list & we wait to hear more "good" info.

NOW...Hurry UP Jorge!  Bike Week is soon!  The "office" must be open for business...

That's Jorge's truck...  He was driving his truck in the rain and - well - he can tell the story later, but that's the indent of a palm tree....  He says he has a sore neck and upper back, but otherwise believes he is o.k.   :2vrolijk_21:

His truck, then that is already better news than being rear ended.  & it does look like a palm tree!

Get well buddy, then you can tell us the story & make it a good one!

I survived again.....and I say again because  it was the second time that I hit a plam tree (maybe I love them or there are too many of those here in South Florida). The first time was  11 years ago driving a BMW M-coupe and was total loss. That time I got 4 broken ribs...The three didn't survive because went down a week later.

This time was again against a palm tree but this time the tree was taller and stronger than the first one  :nixweiss: . It was rainy all day yesterday and on the way to have lunch I lost control of the truck and hit a palm tree. The impact was so hard that the truck (F250 4WD) went back 10 ft. The tree didn't stop the vehicle  :huepfenlol2:

I went to Urgent Care last nigh. X-rays were taken to the chest, neck and back. Fortunately and thanks to my couple of angels no broken bones were found. The Dr said in the report that I have a cervical strain and severe contusion to the chest. I guess that the truck will be a total loss but I don't mind.........I already had ordered a SVT Raptor.

Thanks mis amigos for asking, for your wishes and for your concern about my health.

Will be on the road again soon.....

Jorge

So happy to hear that you survived this, Jorge!  From the looks of the truck, we were wondering.

I guess the up side is that you weren't on your bike. :nervous:

Jorge, glad you are ok, heal fast.

Have you seen the VelociRaptor? Hennessey "tweaked" the Raptor a bit (810 hp), might be able to pull that palm out by the roots!... :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Let's be clear here...The entire biker community needs Jorge in Daytona at "the office!"  Without his skillfill and artful direction his staff would be lost and our community would stuffer greatly!

Glad you're going to be okay. Were you wearing your belt?

Just because you can't knock down a palm tree with your truck doesn't mean you have to give up. (Try a dozer.)

Maybe next time try a Rubber Tree, the Raptor may even handle that!

Next time you're found, with your chin on the ground
There's a lot to be learned, so look around

Just what makes that little old ant
Think he'll move that rubber tree plant
Anyone knows an ant, can't
Move a rubber tree plant

But he's got high hopes, he's got high hopes
He's got high apple pie, in the sky hopes

So any time you're gettin' low
'stead of lettin' go
Just remember that ant
Oops there goes another rubber tree plant

When troubles call, and your back's to the wall
There a lot to be learned, that wall could fall

Once there was a silly old ram
Thought he'd punch a hole in a dam
No one could make that ram, scram
He kept buttin' that dam

but he's got high hopes, he's got high hopes
He's got high apple pie, in the sky hopes

So any time you're feelin' bad
'stead of feelin' sad
Just remember that ram
Oops there goes a billion kilowatt dam

All problems just a toy balloon
They'll be bursted soon
They're just bound to go pop

Oops there goes another problem kerplop
Oops, there goes another problem kerplop
Oops, there goes another problem kerplop
Kerplop!

Jorge

The trees have taken Sonny Bono and Michael Kennedy from this earth. I am so happy that you are well and they didn't get to you on either their first or second attempt.

I don't spend much time on the forum and in one day I catch up with Mike's illness and your prang.

Hope you're getting better.
