Really sad news, a tragic loss for his family, he was certainly a character & had a great career ahead of him, thoughts also go out to Colin Edwards as the rider who hit him, no fault of his, but how must he be feeling ! A very sad day.

Tragic loss! It takes such a special personality to race at a competitive level (cars, bikes, planes, boats). It's alway sad when there is a fatality. Thoughts and prayers to the families impacted.

Very tragic.  I enjoyed watching Marco duking it out with the factory teams and was looking forward to seeing him riding the REPSOLs next year.  He will be missed.
