Another death
« on: August 23, 2012, 05:28:24 PM »

This happened just along the road from our house yesterday:

http://www.thecourier.co.uk/News/Perthshire/article/24507/biker-dies-in-tragic-crash-outside-comrie.html

Looking at the photo, the skidmark from the bike (remember we drive on the left) makes it obvious that the "elderly" driver had pulled out right in front of the poor biker, who'd tried to avoid the car.  Another driver who "didn't see" the bike, I guess.

Picture doesn't make and sense.  There is no driveway, road or path where the car is pointed.  Where they turning around?  This is is puzzling.

May he RIP.

I think the Jaguar was on the wrong lane . It tried to swerve out of the way of the incoming motorcycle that could not maneuver or brake in time..

He came out from a driveway on the left, Eagle Eye.  He must have been turning right, and looking at the bike's skidmark, pulled out straight across the bike's path.

Yup.  I heard today that the old guy had come down the drive from the houses, and had forgotten something, so decided to do a u-turn on the road and head back up the drive.
