For those of you that have volume issues with the HD MP3 unit matching the CD or radio volume there is a low level line driver availible for about $30.00. You will need some adapters to make it work since it uses RCA type jacks. Here's a pic of the unit. They are availible from most car audio stores.
Here is the manufactures specs:
The Turbo 1 increases the preamp level being delivered to the amplifiers. Increasing pre-amp level signal helps to better balance your system and allows you to get more 'juice' out of your amplifiers.

PAC makes good stuff and I believe it will work well for you--I look forward to a posting on how it works. I want to make sure you know about the switch inside the MP3 that increases the output to the radio. Its not perfect, but much better than the factory setting.

I knew about the switch and it does help but the volume is still a bit lower on the MP3. I used PAC stuff several years ago when I managed a car audio store. They had slipped my mind until a few days ago so I thought i'd see if they have a unit and they do. [smiley=biggthumpup.gif]

The unit works PERFECTLY!! I installed it today and love it. I played around with the gain settings and found that it works best with the MP3 set on low setting and using the PAC unit to bring the volume just above that of the CD palyer. I matched them up by having the same song playing on the MP3 as in the CD player. I used a RCA type patch cord cut in half and spliced it into the MP3 player cable.
