A very good end to a very good story. It is a shame, I had some problems but I also have a very good service manger (Rockville Harley Davidson in Maryland) they ordered new painted parts and I did the install myself. I just wish it could be this easy for everyone else.

It's good to hear that there are dealers that appreciate their customers and want to make things "right" for them. Make sure you tell your dealer that he has "kudos" from here. Speaking of that you may want to add him to this thread: "Great Dealership??"

DDL, so glad to hear that you were able to finally get satisfaction and that you have ended the HD boycott.  Mentally you have gone through a lot of pain and anguish unnecesarily, and I am so happy the wife has her new FLHX and your relationship with the dealer is on it's way to a mend.   :D [smiley=cherry.gif] :D  I know it makes you feel a lot better.  

I had a couple of spots on my front fairing when my bike was new where paint bubbled and peeled off.  I was lucky that the dealer finally came through and somehow got a replacment fairing for me.  It was very painful and unfortuneatly, the relationship with the service department was severed, so I am happy to hear that you could keep on good terms.   ;)
