Check to see if there are complete service records.

Also find out if lifters and compensator have been inspected or replaced.  Those seem to have been two of the problematic parts.

What are they asking for it?  Any mods?  Which color is it?  The  :orange: Hot  :orange: Citrus  :orange: Orange  :orange: is the fastest and most reliable. ;)

Good luck on your purchase!

I have a 2010 cvo sg with that many miles. However, it would depend on the price they are asking, condition and if the service records have been kept up to date in the book or if they have them on hand. I always have my HD service mngr sign and date each service performed in the book. This 2012 would still be under warranty so that is a good thing. I have not had any major problems to speak of with mine. I just purchased the extended 3 year warranty on mine just in case tho.

I was surprised when I did a search on cycle trader that there are several brand new 2012 CVO Streetglides out there.  There was a 2011 Krypto on here a couple of weeks ago with a lot of the necessary stuff done to it for 31700 that I think had only 2300 miles.  I'll bet the holdovers that are out there can be bought for MSRP or even a little less.  Good luck hunting.

The dealer was offering almost 33k yesterday.  I have 10k miles  on it.  These cvo's seem to be getting their price  :)

$32k may be too much for a bike with that many miles, IMO.  That may be 1/4 of its motor's lifespan.

But, it all depends on what it's worth to you.  I paid a little over msrp when it first came out last Oct, and I don't regret it.  Some people would rather die than pay msrp, but I'm glad I did.

I'll ask about the lifters and compensator.  Good tip.  They are asking 32300.  Seems a lot for 18500 miles.  And it is the hot citrus/gunstock.  The nicest color combo ever on a HD....IMHO.  :orange:  that's why I'm jonesing over it.

That's right at MSRP ($32,699) which is what most of us paid for ours new....... seems too high to me with that kind of mileage.  Keep looking, there have been several 2012 SESG's for sale on here for about the same price with little to no mileage; patience will reward you.

There was one listed on EBAy yesterday in Trumanburg, NY bone stock 2300 miles....the ad was pulled in less then a day from listing.

My guess is someone overwhelmed him and bought it outside of EBay.

I personally wouldnt spend over 28k for a bike with 18k miles.   Winter is upon us and you probably find a bunch of bikes for sale in the next 120 days.   I would be concerned with lifters, piston slap (Top end noise), compensator, use of oil and rear tire as well as brake pads.

PA Harley, T. Kid is normally a pretty sane individual, but I think he may have been under the influence of some NC moonshine when he wrote that.  We'll give him the benefit of the doubt this time.

I say wait, too.  Another will come along soon enough, and you'll be happier knowing you weren't taken advantage of.
