Howdy All, Was wondering what size tire I could upgrade to. Bike came with a 140 so I'm wondering if a 150 will fit with no problems or changes. My 02 road king came with a 130 and I was able to run a 140 with no problems. So, my brain says yeah you can go up one tire size.
My other brain says, why not ask those that probably know......( Maximum rear tire size for 06 screamin street glide ) Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jon

I know 2 people who put a 150 on an FLH and in both cases the seat bolt cut a groove in the tire. Yeah, I know that you could use a shorter bolt but I don't want the hassle...

They must have been using a long bolt [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]
The 150 will fit.

Thanks Jim, I heard I could run a 150, so with your input I think I'll go for it. Gonna have the dealer in Atlanta do it when we ship them back there for ride. Do you think thats a good idea or not? Also wondering if I should try a different tire than what MoCo uses, what do you run?
Oh, Ernie, thanks for input also..... I guess I'll go with the mekinic's opinion. Thanks all, Jon

I wanted to go with a 150 on my '04 seeg. But I couldn't locate a 16" tire with the proper load rating. The closest I could find was 200lbs under the recommended rating for a touring bike. If you locate one please inform.
Take care,
Grover

I think some may be inclined to believe that the FLHX "Street Glide" was the MoCo

Thats right JC, its a screamin streetgadife, and no I'm not selling it. Heck, I don't remember you passing me, do ya now. I love my bike, got to admit it might have been cheaper to buy a CVO though. I'm getting closer, gonna buy SE passing lamp bracket with money from 50/50 raffle last night. OCD has struck again. Oh, does anyone know of a 150 X 16" tire that will handle touring bike weight? [smiley=nixweiss.gif] help.....Jon

The only 150-16 with the correct load range I've been able to locate is an Avon Venom.

A 150 WILL WORK BUT KEEP IN MIND IF YOU SHOULD HAVE A TIRE GO DOWN IT WILL MOST LIKELY HIT THE DRIVE BELT AND TAKE IT OUT. SEEN IT HAPPEN [smiley=oops.gif]

And that ain't half as bad as where it puts the belt guard... :'(
