New Rinehart 2-1 for FL, anyone have them yet?
« on: March 18, 2007, 07:32:03 PM »

Hey all,

See that Rinehart has a new 2-1 for the FL and was wondering if anyone has them on their bike yet?  Especially wondering if anyone has put them on a '06 CUSE like mine?

If so, what is the performance and sound like?

Thanks!
Patrick

Forgot to mention, just check the rear brake pedal clearance when installing, it can be close enough to bump at idle with these shaky motors.

I have the Rinehart 2-1 on my 06 CUSE. Not too loud, until you get it up in the 4500 -5500 range. No affect on the radio. With the SE/AC and Power commander, getting 95 hp and 98 lb/ft of torque. Will have to do until I can afford the T-Man heads, Woods cams and the bigger throttle body. Maybe then it will come close to the 113 S&S.

Use the T-man cams also.
There is a value to using matched components.

I have the T-man heads, T-man cams, T-man pistons with the T-man recommended 56mm HP Inc throttle body.
The exhaust is SuperTrapp 2 into 1.
Results are 141 Torque and 140 H/P.
The impressive results are 140 Torque at 3000 and 130 Torque at 2500.
Can you say "grunt"

But also running the open end cap.
I know, that's strange to run disc with an open end cap but it's all about the combination.

I believe it comes with 21 discs. Think more discs the bigger the opening - less restriction - more flow & HP - louder. Less discs smaller opening  - more back pressure and torque, less flow & HP. I think they reccomend the 21 or 9 but that is an otherwise stock setup. From there you tune, try and see.

Sentell

Mine came stock with 8.
The deal is, less disc =  more restriction.
More disc = less restriction.
With the solid end cap the exhaust can only escape thru the disc.
More disc = more place for exhaust to escape = less restriction.

Call me so we can talk about the bike.

That pipe looks awesome.  I saw miker post 2-3K.  2-3K what?  Does it cost that much?  What does it cost anyway?  Just interested for future ref.

No, sorry for the confusion

The pipe is around 900 beans(shipping and stuff, probably get a jobbers cost if you know someone)
the sert and dyno was another 6 bennies...After a tru-track at $400 and nitrogen tire fill I am around 2k....Still gotta lock the saddlebags, change the rear rotor, check into this rocker box issue, get a corbin, move the directionals, install a two wheel tunes and so on,  That'll get it up there. Plus a dead center if I am still biting.  I am trying to finish my 1935 vld solo too, and need to do that 1st.
