Dang, I am surprised that Barnett HD in El Paso didn't get on that list, every time I go over there, there are chitloads of customers.

I wonder what the criteria is to crack the top 100?  Given the economic times, is there any "bottom feeder" dealerships closing?

like everything else, I'm guessing from looking at this list that the criteria for getting listed is 'political'.  Some were not surprising, while others caused my jaw to drop.  :o spyder

"The Dealernews Top 100 Awards is a juried competition that recognizes dealerships for their achievements in retail design and merchandising, marketing, e-commerce, customer service, community involvement and general business management."

Wonder who is on the "jury".   :confused5:

The results are a combination of "Sport Bike" dealerships and MOCO dealerships...

Michigan is got to be one of the hardest hit areas due to the poor economy, so with that being a fact I must congratulate Carl Miskotten co- owner and the entire Hot Rod Harley Davidson staff on one fine dealership with this award.
I got to meet Carl last year at his auto & truck auction business,  http://www.wmaa.net/index.php?fuseaction=Services.start, as he supplies AJ Foyts race team with vehicles when @ Indianapolis and other surrounding race tracks. Cant say enough good about Carl. Sat and talked with him for better than two hours like we known each other for years. Just one hell of a good guy.
Looking forward to getting to the dealership this summer and getting him out riging.  :2vrolijk_21:

I believe a dealer needs to nominate themselves and most Harley dealers don't bother anymore.

You are right he is a great guy and has a great sales staff.  Michigan has been hit quite hard as well as the west side of the state and for Muskegon to be listed in the top of something other than a negative article is great.  You should try and make it for our BIKE TIME. http://www.muskegonbiketime.com

And of course you're wondering... "Hey! That's a RED bike. The fast one! Why doesn't he just "Evel Knievel it" and jump OVER Lake Michigan from Muskegon to Milwaukee and save the cost of the ferry!" Well...I'm all about supporting the local economy AND there's already enough RED envy as it is.... :D
