It's kinda interesting that Lehman (the Trike company that the MoCo has partnered with) claims a totally rigid rear axle with no independent suspension and no lean is the way to go.  They are of course talking about a more conventional Trike with the two wheels in the rear.  Lehman contends that independent suspension actually makes the Trike less controllable in corners.  Again, this is referring to the two wheels in the rear configuration.  Maybe it will set up a great race between front and rear wheel Trikes!!

Ride Safe.

Yea, but their talking about a traditional IRS, this one leans into the turn, traditional IRS will lean out away from the turn, they use sway bars to help correct it. I wonder what they are trying to patent? There are several companies at least building prototype lean trikes, I think some are in limited production. Looks pretty wild!

In the end it's still just training wheels.  Sophisticated expensive training wheels.  But training wheels nonetheless.

For the maturing enthusiast who has come full circle in their two wheeled adventures.

I was at a watering hole 2 months ago, talking to person that described this concept machine in detail. I was told that they heard about this machine in Germany and that it was 18 to 24 months from introduction. The person has good credibility, but it was still just a discussion between motorheads in a parking lot full of motorcycles. He described it like he saw it, but I can’t remember if he said that he actually saw a prototype.

So two months later I’m sitting here looking at line drawings of what appears to be a non Lehman, H-D powered three wheeled rig that leans around the corners; I’m impressed!

If it turns out that this thing was developed in Germany and it lands somewhere on or before 2010, I will be dazzled.

Wonder if Porche is involved with this one too?  Interesting concept and I'll bet it would be a blast to ride!!

I was speaking to a dealer about this very subject. He asked not to be named, but told me that they are prototyping it now. He said that the problem they are encountering now is the wheels are coming off the rims! The bikes going into a turn are having the rubber come off.

I like to see people thinking outside the box.  Kudos to the Moco.

Here's another. This one is cool, I'd like to ride this one!!

I think the concept is pretty exciting. Once the front is tuned to the riders weight, aggressiveness, riding style etc. along with the right power plant it could be a lot of fun. There was a Can Am riding through town last week. Looked a little strange but with fuel prices and the balance "issues" removed more non-bike folks could be taking this type of rig to work and play.
