I was told by a old car painter that he would use creamy peanut butter on old masking tape that was left on for years do to a project stall. Seems the oil from the peanut butter would soak into the tape and after a couple days  it would peal off.
I would imagine after a few days of soaking the mice would probably eat most of it off.

By the way for those folks that would like to know what happens when you put Goo Gone on powder coat. Thank God I knew I was getting another primary cover before I tried this experiment.

That decal on my 2020 CVO Limited with the satin chrome finish easily peeled off. And that was after I left it on for a couple hundred miles.

I contacted Harley too for the warranty claim and they told me they had never heard of it but the service manager at the dealership said it was the case quite often and a lot of people left them on or spent hours cleaning it off if they could get it off. His advice was to just get some plastic razor blades from the auto parts store and go to town.

How was that? It says only the customer can remove it. That is good though.

Multiple grades of Goo Gone, Goof Off exist. You need the one for Plastic/Painted surfaces only for working on a bike or car. Mine was stuck on the 09 and I removed the outer sticker then soaked the inner residue with Goo Gone safe for plastic and it smeared off with just a little effort.

I would figure one that safe for paint wouldn't have presented a problem. Not the case

Damn, That's pretty screwed up.

Hope the new one doesn't have a sticker on it when it gets delivered.

What exactly does that label say?  They used to have one on the primary of CVO's that indicated they used SYN3 in all three holes, and there is no regulatory requirement for that label to exist or be left on the bike for the customer to remove.  What does this one say?

As for the subject bike, I can't help but wonder if the label was applied to an uncured painted finish, which would make it almost impossible to remove.  Otherwise, it should have come off just like all the other labels do, without excessive drama.

Mine came right off after riding home from dealer, so engine was warm, I don’t know if that had anything to do with it, but it came right off, stuck it on my toolbox

I have removed all stickers and reflectors from every bike I get. No "Huffy" bike reflectors on my bike! Some definitely come off easier than others. Some good ideas here that I haven't tried.
