Still, this is a fabulous and fun bike to ride!  Road Glides cut through the wind so nice and the handling is so light.  Feels pretty nimble compared to the big, heavy, SEUC!

Beautiful bike and have always loved the shark fins.

Here's the latest iteration of LD.  Am not overjoyed with the look of the Corbin touring seat on the stripped down bike but I've gotten so used to that seat I can't give it up. Tried the stocker on a 270 mile day trip with Dead_Reckoning, Hogasm, Mikey T and Jester Whisperer and my ass was killing me. In any event, I've lost the Clearview and put on a chopped down Kockwerks (which does actually throw the air over my head) and change the 03 SERK wheels to some wagon wheels I got from Twolanerider who had them powdercoated for me. I had a local pinstriper do a single orange stripe around the rim and found a company that still sells RWL tires going for a muscle car look.

The wheels and raised whites look great Brian.  Makes it look a little angry; in a 60s muscle car kind of way.  Nice job!

Can't really see the wheel/tire set-up in that full bike pic so here's a shot of just the front wheel

Bike on a budget Scott
I was tired of the solid wheel look and I didn't have $4k to dump into trick custom wheels, rotors etc so me and Twolane got together on a pair of 00 wagon wheels he had. He got em powder coated gloss black and set up with the 1" bearings I needed for my 07 Found a guy who does air brush and pinstriping close by here in Maine and found the old school RWL tires on Chaparall's website. Total cost of the wheels and tires, powder coated, mounted and balanced and on the bike was right around $600 for the pair. Someone told me it looked like a 1980 Sturgis. Sort of does but the Sturgis wheels had the face of the spokes on the wheels machined and the stripe was red. Still what was old is new again has always been valid in this thing we do which is why the old timers tell the newbies to hang onto their parts cause they'll come around again.

It still makes me think of an old red-stripe adorned big block Camaro I abused many years ago Brian.  Like the look a lot .

I hope jr1000yarder will forgive me reposting a picture of his ride here but this is the Road Glide forum and the people who know the most about Road Glides (the owners) check in on this thread. Soooooooo anyway, I was hoping to hear more about this ride. I think somehow there was a misconception as to me not liking the bike. I think it's incredibly cool but I was wondering about a ton of things. Beyond what we can see what's been done to it. Does it have air suspension. What's the motor ? Mods to the sound system How does the front wheel handle. There's a story here I'd like to hear.

I see from blowing up the picture that it's 110" motor, but that's about it.  It also looks like a winged CVO embroidered design in the seat.

I'm not a big fan of large front wheels, but it does look very nice.  I've "heard" they are not as comfortable on the road as the smaller more "normal" size tire/wheel combos.

This is done very nicely and I would like to know more about it too.
