Might be a good solution for the long distance guys.

Roger,

I carry a small 12V pump in a case in my saddle bag and it hardly takes up any room at all. I think it only costs about $19.99. You can find them a Wally Mart and NAPA etc. Also, a tire repair kit.

I've actually had satisfactory results out of CO2 cartridges the few times ever had to use them.
