Any one have the end cap come loose on left side of handle bar? Mine is now loose and I don't see any way to tighten it? The thing rattles going down the road. Any ideas?

Loosen the two Torx screws that hold the switches/clutch assembly on and pull the grip off (it's not glued), look inside to see if there is a way to tighten it. If not, get the dealer to replace or glue the end on with Gorilla Glue...that stuff is amazing!!

My 05 stock grip ends were loose. I had them off while I installed the Heat Demon heaters. I found that my end caps pop off and there is a nut on the inside of each end cap that you can tighten. Actually you squeeze the plastic tabs around the nut (to keep the nut from turning) and turn the chrome end cap with your other hand to tighten. If your stock grips are made like mine, this will work. Then just pop the end cap back in the grip. You don't have to remove the grip to do this, just pop off the end cap with a small screwdriver. Good luck. :2vrolijk_21:

I actually lost the end cap on the throttle grip I heard it hit the ground when I was on the Interstate. Realized what hit the ground when I got home and noticed the cap missing. I guess MoCo will have to replace the grip under warranty!

There is an easy fix for this as they work loose after a while. Pull the end cap off and simply tighten the nut a bit that holds the end cap in place. Takes about a minute to do.

Oh, so that's why HD leaves them loose! $11.95! Needle nose pliers to tighten the nylon nut is the trick.

Hi from Aus
I have a fxdse2 and had the same problem. I pulled the end cap of and there is a little adjuster bolt in the centre that you screw in to expand the catchers then you push it back in and bingo. Hope it works fr your model. Rod
