Any opinions on which ignition is any better or worse? And for an 87 EVO single fire or dual coil?

On my 84 FXR I got tired or the ei failing all the time and put in points. The brain was replaced with a lockable tool kit. It   used six cylinder blue steaks which were available anywhere unlike ei components. It doesn't sound sexy, but was bulletproof.  Doc

Did the same on all my past Evos, but then replaced the points with a Dyna S ignition. Same setup with mechanical advance, but no point adjustment required. Electronic points! Set it and forget it! ;)

I forgot what year the cone would not accept this conversion anymore.  Dyna S with a carburetor, how sweet and simple. :2vrolijk_21:  Doc

Ive had the dyna ignitions fail on me...i've had the crane hi-4 fail on me.........But the Crane hi4-E was flawless... never faltered or failed......that is the way to go!..single fire options and race curves....been riding for 21 years and over 200,000 miles clocked in that time...trust me it is the meat and potatos of ignitions!...ride on,headpan
