Are we able to get a 2010 and 2012 version of this document?

Here is the press relase for the 2011 CVO's. It says nothing about the illuminated console for the SESG.

Mike look at my reply #170 on this thread. There is a copy of the 2011 Facts and Figures right from Harley you can download. This is what HD released to the Press to get the word out on the 2011 line up. I also found it in the November 2010 issue Volume 42 Number 11 of HOT BIKE. It clearly says on page 44 " A low profile tank console and insert with back -lit LED CVO emblem". Funny thing is that on the same page they have a close up of the tank console with gas gauge. The gas gauge LED's are lit up....7 dots with gas pump but the emblem is NOT lit up.

So I went armed with this information to my stealer yesterday. I talked with the guy who sold me my bike. I showed him the info. He first said it applies to the U.S. models....NO I said because i know of lots of U.S. models that do not light up. Then he said something about some fine print about the bike not be exactly as shown. I said B-S.....bottom line is I did not get what i paid for as advertised by HD. Then i went on to say i was willing to split the cost in half if we ordered the parts........are you all still laughing..........anyway the guy held a pretty straight face. He said if i wanted anything out of this i would have to take it up with Deeley Canada. He assured me we will order the parts/insert as soon as we get a 2012 VIN......AND YES....I get to pay for it

But I see by the next post that you didn't get it.......good try though. I am still waiting for my "back ordered" insert.......we will see......

I wanted this yesterday but it looks like i will eventually get it sometime before spring.

I tried sanding the black paint off the back of the insert, I guess I wasnt careful enough, I sanded very lightly with fine 480 paper.  I removed some of the lettering and the top of the bar and shield. DAMN  I will fix the lettering and paint it black until I can figure out another way OR get someone with a 12 to order an insert for me.  I will continue the Quest and update when possible. 
Has anyone got any light assys or inserts yet?

I am waiting for a 2012 VIN. I am confided i will get the insert once i get a number. The light is on order.

my light insert showed up yesterday, the console insert is still on backorder until middle of October...

I know you're all going to say, "easy for you to say, you've already got the lighted CVO emblem", but to be honest, it's just kind of gimicky.  You can't, along with the gas gauge, see it during the day in sunlight, unless you put your hand around it to shade it. Unless you do a lot of night riding, or sitting in your garage oogling it, you won't see it.    Not sure it's worth the money to upgrade an '11 to do it.  (And no, I won't swap out with anyone... ) JMO.

...and, Charlie, think of how much more efficient will be your charging system, how much fuel you'll save not loading the charging system to power that extra LED and, thereby, how much longer you're each forestalling Global Warming by not having that LED in the dash.  Those of you without it should be heralded as heroes for helping to save the planet!

Mine says backorder also....I didn't order the light yet in case I never get the insert....
