trying to put my new bobtail fender rack on
« on: September 03, 2014, 07:42:09 AM »

can't seem to get the turn signals off? out?
it's like maybe there is another nut inside the chrome support bar?
or is it just that it might be a one to one fit?

originally the turn signal was on the "forward" hole,
but because I'm using the back rest quick release and the new bag supports that are coming in will use the empty forward hole all is good on the turn signal location.

but the turn signals have to be remove to go thru the rear hole on the rack.

I removed the inside nut inside the fender well and disconnected the wiring on one side to see if I could pull it out
but just can't get the turn signal to break loose?
and I don't want to force it!

got it done
and that was a bitch!
3 hour job

after taking the bike over to my shop and asking them to put it on for me yesterday which led to a call today to tell me they couldn't because the tail light studs where not long enough?

so brought it home and opened a can of determination!
there is a "t nut inside the fender well behind the first nut
and they where barred in the plastic of the tail light / plate bracket and with pulling all of my wrenches out and finding the right one to get a hold of them I was able to get the turn signals off

synched everything down and made it work, and then to get those wires back thru that one to one fit hole! thank goodness for lube!
