Title: Locks on bags
Post by: Older Guy on September 10, 2014, 07:50:32 AM
Check the locks on your bags, went to wash bike and found lock missing from one of my bags.I don't know how it happened or where it went. Checked other one and found it loose.

Good advice - worth checking just in case.

Yep,I had same problem ,both of mine fell apart and had to,get them replaced,I thought it was down to bad pdi inspection, looks as though it's a design fault, what do,you, expect when you,pay a fortune for a cvo,Harley !

I took off my bags the other day to clean them and i heard some rattling. When i opened the bag the pieces of the bag were just rolling around (bolt, washer, etc).

I lost the locks on one of my bags as well, I hope the rest of the bike is of better quality. Coming close to 5000mls, had a loose ABS connection in the beginning, the passenger pegs keep coming down by themselves and the switch for Kesstech pipes has a problem (a dealer not a Harley problem) minor issues, in general a great bike for fun and long rides... so let's see what the next 5000mls will bring ...if not a new CVO

The same happened to me, but all the pieces fell into the little compartment housing the mechanism.

I also have the same problem as @CVODeluxeHD, the left passenger peg comes down alone when I ride. How can I tighten it?

On mine both pegs keep coming down. At the dealer they tried to tighten the spring inside, so far without success...

Has anybody used Loctite on the threads to keep the nut on the thread? I was thinking of doing this.
