Title: Full Face Schuberth S2, Bell Star or Bell RS1, Own one? Thoughts?
Post by: East Coast on October 26, 2014, 12:10:18 PM
I'm looking to purchase a FF helmet, anyone have any experience with the Schuberth S2 model or the Bell Star or Bell RS-1?

TIA, Erich

I wear a Schuberth SR1 and I absolutely love it! Though the "bill it" as a race helmet, the ventilation is the best I have ever experienced and I have had about 10 FF helmets and the vent by the ears that they say you can open to hear the other bikes on the racetrack coming up is fantastic for me to be able to hear my tunes and exhaust which to me was the only dome side to wearing a FF helmet. I understand that many like Schuberth because of how quiet they can be but for me if I wanted quiet, I would have got a bmw. Also insanely light helmet.

Just picked up a Lazer Monaco modular from Revzilla.  Great fit and very light - constructed with carbon fiber.  Best full face helmet I have ever owned!

Chiming in late but I have the schuberth C3 Pro. It's a full face muscular so the shield and chin bar flips up. Easy to operate with gloves. Also love the strap connector too. I installed the BMW communication system that connects via Bluetooth.  Can listen to tunes and in case of an emergency I can make and receive calls. Excellent ventilation too.

I finally bought a Bell Star Carbon Race Day through Revzilla two weeks ago as it was on sale!! Fits great, looks awesome but have yet to try it out.

Some good sales going on right now for those considering a full face helmet!

I bought a Bell Star helmet a few months ago as well for my sportbike riding.  The helmet moves a ton of air which I love.  Have you bought the transitional shield for it?  If not, it's a must buy!   :2vrolijk_21:

I have been thinking of going to a lighter/quieter helmet than my Shoie multitech, at the IMS last fall I went looking at the C3 and they had the C3pro, it fit like a glove. Well last night I watched the video on competitionaccessories.com on the C3 pro and I am sold. That for sure is my next replacement. The only downside is I dont know what to do with my sunglasses lol  :orange:
