Chalk one up for the good guys.[smiley=policeman.gif]

I only wish they would be that hard on the punks that steal cars locally.  Usually get a slap on the wrist and 6 months probation and then they're back on the street stealing cars again.

Happens way to much at the big rallies. I'm glad another family of scumbags is off the prowl...for now.

Yep.  I remember reading about this back in 2003.  They were arrested at Sturgis:

"In August 2003, the Geberts were arrested along with their son Justin Gebert, 26, by police in Rapid City, S.D., after David Gebert was caught trying to ride another man

Off topic, I know but allow me to welcome you, nancygrl, to the forum.  Hope to see you down at the FXR pages--things get kinda slow down there due to our comparitive rarity.  Again, welcome aboard.

Now, back to celebrating the capture of three crooks!

I guess the major rallies are easy pickings for crooks--thousands of bikes around, their owners distracted elsewhere.  Well, here's three crooks that won't be stealing any more for a while, anyway.

Hey Dawg, remember the other girl from Atlanta that was with Steve that rode to Chattanooga on a brand new Heritage Classic with no tag??????  Didn't she forget her key to the security system or something?  I remember the guys basically surrounded her bike with theirs to keep it from getting jacked!!   :o

Ouch, talk about freaky coincidences. That just shows that these people have been up to this for a while. Hopefully they will get what they deserve.

Oh yes.  Let's hope so.  She's still active on ebay, I see, with 100% feedback - but she only buys now; hasn't sold anything (at least under that ID!) for a cupla years.

Hey Ya'll-

Us Rebel folk don't take well to nobody touchin', let alone stealin' our hosses.  The law outta bring back hangins' for hoss theives... whether they're motorized hosses or not.

I heard about these folks last year while talking to some neighbors up at the camp... apparently they were so low, they even set up a bunch of their "friends" on a trip to Sturgis a couple years ago.  The dad and about 10 other "friends" stopped for lunch and when they came out ALL the bikes were gone, including the dad's (just to make it look good of course).  These guys didn't care who you were, "friend" or foe, they were all about the cash.  They owned a wrecking yard by the name of "Cash Auto".  When asked... "Who do I make the check out to?"  The answer was... "Just make it out to cash!"  They had it all figured out.

These guys better sleep with one eye open whilst in the hoosgow and BTW... Don't drop the soap!  [smiley=nervous.gif]

Later-
The "Rebel"

There is nothing lower than a bike thief.  This sort of whale chit SHOULD be strung up by the neck and beaten till ALMOST dead.  Then give them a tranfusion and nurse back to health and do it again.  JMO
