Graphic Material / Accident Scene  Oklahoma
« on: April 09, 2006, 09:24:53 PM »

Please note very graphic images from the Oklahoma State Troopers.   This is very ugly so stop here if graphic images might upset you.

A buddy sent me these pictures and it does put into perspective while this guy was being stupid that we as riders are still fragile.

This is what a  174 mph wreck looks like...courtesy of  Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

He  Should have been riding a Harley, it won't go 174  mph

Yep pretty bad, kind of looks like what I have seen more then a dozen times in the past 20 years, people vs truck/train, skydive off of the bridges etc.

Some people will never learn and is a moot point for this dude.

OUCH!!!  Dear Mother of God, I would venture to say the guy never knew what hit him or what he hit!!!!   As grotesque as they are, the pics will be useful in MSF courses to show young hotshots why they shouldn't be stupid!!!!    :'(

Naitram,

Nope sure doesn't look like the helmet helped him one bit.  Then again they have probably never tested it against whatever object the guy hit directly at 174 mph either, in their own defense.

1 - it doesn't look like they got all the parts and

2 - I can't believe they dragged the torso across the street!

You're right.  It brought back some memories for me.......used to work search and rescue and I remember a plane accident in the mountains.  We collected body parts from a 400 yd. section on the side of a mountain and had to try to match body parts to the right pile.......it was very similar but we were dealing with four of them.

I think if they published more of these kinds of photos it would sure help people to "think" just a tad bit more about the consequences of our actions.

Looks like two people involved here, maybe a passenger ? One set of legs wearing sneakers and the other riding boots. I can't believe they drug the remains across the damn road either. What a waste of life, and he was doing 174mph that close to a curve ?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
