Congrats on the new bike....550/900 is special under the circumstances / confusion.

Based on the difference in the US, Australian, European and Canadian models, it would be interesting to see how many were made of each variation that comprise the 900 total built.

I got 486 of 550 paid $1k over msrp but it was in stock and ready for delivery. Figured if only 550 made it might hold a bettrr resale value (though I know and don't think I'll make a profit) just hope i dont lose as much

Unfortunately there are going to be 900 made not 550.  But fortunately you have a badge (vendor mistake) that shows # out of 550.  Maybe your incorrect badge will be worth something someday.

Your dealer (yes I know who they are) is really lucky sombody in your profession doesn't sue them for false advertising. They have been trying to sell your new bike (Cycle Trader) since October, November and they didn't even have it yet. The "Call For Price" got a response of "it will be sold to the highest bidder"......when it gets here....a date they didn't know.

As far as resale value, it will never be worth what you paid. So as many others here have said ...Ride it like you stole it" and enjoy.

I was shocked at Harley Prices in Stavanger Norway when I was there two years ago for Training at NOV.  Just over double the cost in the USA.

A friend who I worked with for a Year in Angola, who lives just out side Oslo was telling me the tax is 100% of the bike cost, then there was also a pretty big Vat.

You sure got a Nice bike, and have a beautiful country to ride it in.
