Just got this yesterday. Kimber CDP ll Ultra 45. Ordered it Dec 4th. Found another one the end of Dec so since I didn't put any money down, I assumed I could turn it down when it arrived at the dealer....Wrong, now I own two. Not sure if I will keep this one or sell it.

Been waiting for an opportunity to see these Would like one, but pricey. Can't imagine having to buy 2. Thinking the 9 might be a bit more manageable.
Make up your mind yet with the extra?

The lastest one I bought I just sent back to the Kimber Custom shop to have them look at it cause I can't get the slide lock out easily and can't get it back in at all  :nixweiss:  Everything is warranty work but it cost me $60 for shipping since UPS will only transport firearms over night air express. Yikes  :'(

The Ultra CDP is surprisingly manageable.  I shoot 230 grain no trouble with it.  My wife really likes it and is extremely accurate with it.  They have been creeping up in price.  But I think you get what you pay for.  Right now it's the least expensive 1911 I own.   The 1911 is my favorite gun.

Since Oklahoma honors Arkansas CCP, can a Arkansas resident open care in Oklahoma? Or can any one open carry? Do you still have to have a permit to conceal carry to open carry?? Thanks for any info on this.

Here it is. You still need a permit
Gov. Mary Fallin told delegates Saturday at the Oklahoma Republican State Convention she will sign into law the bill that will allow those with concealed handgun permits to openly carry their weapons. The measure would take effect Nov. 1.

It seems as though the way they worded the sale "quickly installs on any AR-15 with an adjustable stock". Makes me think that you would only be able to "legally" install it on a pre-ban lower(only applies to certain areas). Any AR that utilizes a buffer tube can accept an adjustable stock even though some places say you're not allowed to if it was built post AWB.
So for anyone in the states or counties that impose that ban on guns manufactured after 9/94, the stock is not fixed. If it applies to anyone thinking of buying one I'd call and ask manufacturer about it. They do state that it comes with paperwork stating its legality, but the fact that they say it works on any AR with adjustable stock seems silly to me unless they're covering their end because their product could be deemed adjustable.

That'd give the snotty range officers a stroke at the range, looks like a fun way to heat up the barrel...
5.56 ammo is too much dinero for me to go about dumping mags, for me anyways, woner if it'd work with a 22lr kit?

The best money I spent on my AR was a Timney trigger...
