Going back a few pages on the family learning thing. My Dad had a lot of guns around. For all kinds of reasons, but mostly for feeding his family. So we were all taught about how to hold them, how to load them, how to unload them, how to put on the safety, how to care for them. Each one of us kids. But as in all families, some take to some things better than others. Myself, the oldest and my brother number three in the brood of four, we liked the gun thing. And we were taught more than the other two.
To this day, if you so much as point a finger at me, I shake. My Dad would smack us so hard we'd fall to the ground - if we so much as pointed a stick at someone and pretended it was a weapon ------ there is no room for mistakes with a weapon that takes your life or the life of anyone you love.
