He's trying to say he carries everywhere.  While I agree with the philosphy, when the chit hits the fan and you do draw; I don't care how many people the perp murders, you'll be the one in jail.  Just look at what's already occurring with people just flying through some of these states and getting held over due to flight changes.  They're getting locked up, even though they had no way around the situation.

I hope that photo is for display not transport of that rifle. The hammer is cocked back....
I would also hate to think of not only having a saddlebag theft but a gun theft also if not both secured.

This product secures valuables (When you don't wear them) and the saddlebag.

Is correct looks like a SBR, and for that you need an ATF stamp.

NFA (national forearms act, amended in 1968)  items are allowed in some states..Of course after paying the $200 tax stamp per item..
SBR, short barrelled rifles and SBS, short barrlelled shotguns, supressed and automatic weapons as well as AOW's all legal here.  Transfers across state lines must be NFA approved with a guess what? Another tax stamp!

Long Live Florida...the Gunshine State.....I cannot recall any recent crime committed with a registered NFA item. We did have double shooting yesterday down the street, by a gang banger just out of the joint...too bad it didnt end well, as in it getting shot dead by the cops.  :nixweiss:

If it is the same as a friend has it is classified as a pistol. His the while it has the stock like that, it is to short to shoot like a rifle.  It is held out just like a pistol.  He has to carry his paper work so he does not get hassled.

I had a Ruger auto 380. Got rid of it and looking to replace it with something a little larger caliber. I'm considering two calibers, 38 or 357. I already own one S&W airweight 38, and I love it, but, wanting one more, a different model/brand of course. Thinking about S&W bodyguard 38 or Ruger's LCR. The LCR is available 38 or 357. So here's the arguments I'm having with myself.

The 357-38 arguements:
The 357 is a lot of gun in that small of a frame.  But, if used for what this pistol is designed for, protection, one or two shots should be enough.
The 357 weighs more. Face it, hopefully I'll carry it and never have to use it. The 38 would be easier to carry.

The Ruger vs S&W arguements.
The S&W has a unique release for the cylinder.
I think I'd like the Ruger better. Left thumb on the relase seems natural. If I were left handed, may would feel differently.

The laser no laser debate.
My initial thoughts..REally? I need a battery to shoot? If I could get an intruder to hold still long enough to change the batteries in my pistol, I wouldn't need the pistol.
Why would I even need a laser with a pistol with a 1.8" barell? If I was after accuracy, I'd have a 357 with a 6" barell. This pistol is made for sticking in someone's gut and firing. Range: 6" - 20' At 20' I would just point and squeeze the trigger instinctively.
With all that said...the laser is a cool feature. Plus, if I looked down on my chest and saw the red laser light centered on my heart...I may change my attitude.

If you're into lasers, the S&W is mounted more inline with the barell. But, the switch is in the right side of the frame.
The Ruger laser is easier to active, and doesn't have the options to consider like the S&W. The S&W has off/on/strobe modes. The riger is simply on or off, and is located conveniently on the grip.

Input anyone?

I have a Ruger LCR .357

As for laser, no need, though it may look cool, you should never shoot unless you can CLEARLY see your threat, which means they can see you too, and the gun...so a "red dot" on them doesn't change their minds, especially knowing they are looking at you with a gun, not down at their chest.

But...it you absolutely can't live without the shiny red dot....don't buy the Ruger LCR. The only lasers available change the grip into hard plastic ones,...which is extremely uncomfortable...like one shot uncomfortable...your hand will be stinging bad after one shot.

Actually Tanks I'd rather not have the red dot. If he's witnin 20' or so extend arm' point, fire. If hes 100 yards, I'd simply walk away.
