If you do it, Post some pics.  It would be interesting to see what a 2019 CVO RG would look like with lowers...

It will look exactly like a 2018 in a different paint scheme.

Just sayin ...

MOFO67 does not say what version of the '19s he has (Unless I missed it)    Would be interesting to see how he handles the painting?  Red Pepper?  Silver?   Replicate the colors and Pinstripes?    Even the Mako would not look right with just Vivid Black because of the Pearl...

Agreed and good points all.

Normally the lowers (even for CVO colors) come in the "base" color when added from P&A book.
I don't remember any lowers that could be added from P&A that came with any multi-color graphics so that was what I was thinking with my post.

Adding graphics would change a lot and didn't think about that.

I have the Mako and looking at the fade the lowers might end up just blue like the front fender. I rode about 200 miles this past Sunday and arrived back home after dark and temps down in the 40s. I didn’t prepare as well as I should have to get back that late and I did miss being able to tuck my legs behind the lower fairings. At this point it’s all stock other than the windshield so I’m in the process of deciding what’s changes I want to make.
Thanks for all of the feedback and help.

Here is a little better view of the area. Based on the front fender, fade on the tank and fang spoiler is why I am thinking the lowers would need to be blue with no fade.

In my opinion it would need to have the same fade.
Does the Mako fade based on light angle or is it a painted fade?

I've never seen one in person

You are right Mofo, there is no "fade" at that part of the bike. To make it look factory, which is what I'm assuming you want, your lowers would need to match the front fender with no fade.
Go for it I'm really glad that I did mine!

Ordered the color match RG headlight trim and the color match mid-frame air deflectors today. The air deflectors come in the same color as the front fender, Blue Tide. I have a chrome engine guard that I’m taking to have powder coated on Thursday. I hope to get the engine guard back in a couple of weeks and will be able to order the lowers right after Christmas.

Awesome, don't forget you'll need fairing mounts as well. There's a guy on ebay that sells them refurbished, (freshly powder coated) saves you a little $$

We should start a new thread on this as it is a 19.  But, my question is, what will you do about the "fangs"?  Are you going to remove them?  I also have a 19 and would like to add lowers, but I really like the look of the fangs.

Great information here, looking to add lowers to my ‘19 CVORG. I know this thread is a little older but now that you guys have some miles on this set up any issues? My dealer said it would only work with a wrapped front fender. Glad to see it is possible just wanting to hear some reviews.
Thanks

Lowers are very doable but you will have to do away with a couple of cool factors for the excellent wind and bug management that the lowers will provide. Fang Spoiler will have to go, looks like it will just unbolt. You will also need to replace your engine guard and fairing mounts. Front fender is fine, no need to replace it. I highly recommend the upgrade. It makes a night and day difference in wind management. Definitely worth the time, effort and the dough!
Here's a thread that may shed some light as well.

Didn’t read the whole thread but has anyone installed lowers with the boom speakers? Wondering about doing the install this winter and am wondering where they install the additional amp? Wiring it to the fairing seams easiest.

Same as the CVO Street Glide, 3rd amp for 3rd set of speakers goes in the saddlebag.

That’s what I thought. Anyone done this yet sounds like a pretty in depth install but I could be wrong. Also drilling holes for wires does seem a bit sketchy too.

Bringing this back up. I posted a couple of years ago that I was thinking about adding lowers to my ‘19 Mako. On an impulse I traded the bike and have always regretted it.

The day HD revealed the ‘22s I bought a Blue Steel CVO RG. This week I ordered all of the parts needed to put lowers on my ‘22 CVO RG. I talked to Joe at Xtreme Dimensions and was planning to have him do the work.

I might regret it but I mentioned to my dealer what I was doing and they said they could have it done and guarantee 100% match. They claim the company painting them, not Gunslinger, has a contract with HD and has all of the paints codes??? I wasn’t 100% clear but I think the company does some of HDs custom paint sets and also paints older parts needed after an accident, when HD no longer has the parts available.

With the dealer being local and the cost being almost the same i decided to go with the dealer. Might regret it, but I sure hope not.

Painted parts should be back around the first of May and all the other parts over the next couple of weeks. Planning to add a secondary amp and speakers in the lowers next winter.

I know this thread started a couple of years ago. Anyone have issues after adding the lowers to a CVO RG with a 21” front wheel? Anything I should be aware of or do during the install?
