you can fix lots of the broken inner fairing brackets yourself and they will be better than new,, there are several posts on here and it is a pretty easy job to do..HD does sell upgraded speaker brackets now that are alot better than the old ones.. You can ask for them at the parts counter anywhere,,, I did that.

These numbers are from my 04 SEEG Parts book they may have been updated to a newer part number.

If yours broke in the place these most commonly break there are repairs you can do in place.  The following pics aren't mine.  They were better than anything I ever had so I downloaded them some time.  Don't remember who gets the citation but they're good illustrations whomever they come from.

The little L brackets shown are something that can be had at places like Lowes, Home Depot or most hardware stores.

If they let go that seems far and away the most common spot.  I've done that repair to at least a half dozen bikes.  Oddly enough right now I can't remember if the red bike is one of them :nixweiss: ?

I would suggest repairing them yourself like in the pictures. Your repair will last longer and be cheaper.

I agree, chances are the new ones are no better than the old ones and you won't have your bike down.  If you want to fix your broken speaker brackets, take them to a talented local welder and have him tig them back together and add a 1/8 inch stiffener in the area that broke, problem will go away.  Also recommend a cross brace above radio using the two existing holes in the factory bracket, you will not get any movement of the brackets again.
