I just ordered a couple of different bulbs to see if one fits and works well.  Once I get them on the bike I'll let you know.

They look good, but don't fit the replacement Oil Tempurature gauge.  HD, as usual, made it slightly different than the original gauges

Just installed the SuperBrite LED's tonight.  Like Ernie stated, I couldn't get the LED bulb to fit the smaller hole size of the oil temperature gauge as that gauge is made different (the LED won't go in all the way to twist and lock the bulb socket) even though it will accept the condom bulb like the other gauges.

The other three gauges now appear to be as bright as the tach/speedo in the dark garage.  With the oil temp gauge being made different, it lights pretty good with the condom bulb.

I bought a couple of different superbright bulbs to try in the Oil Temp gauge.  The only one that fit is the single LED bulb, which is no brighter than the stock.  The other gauges look great at night though, and you can easily read them at speed.

Ernie,

This page got me thinking (always dangerous and expensive)...

Can I replace my running, brake, and turn lights with some LEDs on this page?

I'm sure that you could since they make tail light bulbs, etc.

I got the bulbs you recomended and they are reallly great. I cant get the bottom gauges bulbs replaced as I cant get the fairing off, I just cant seem to unplug that headlight, I must be doing something wrong, but the top two were replaced (fuel and Volts?) they really shine.

If I remember correctly theres a "lock" tab that needs to be depressed to remove the head light plug.

Unbolt your passing lights. This will give you alot of room, I always take them off when I remove the fairing. It is so much easier that way.

Funny, 3 of four of the gauge bulbs were "hanging out of or loose in the gauge" like they hadnt been pushed in all the way, or more probably, vibration shook them loose. Strange though. But, once I got the whole fairing off it was easy to get at the lower gauges, I recommend everyone change out to these led's they are WAY brighter than stock. Much easier to see at night.

Ernie, do the 3 lights that are brighter make the opg look way out of balance?  Let's Roll
