Funny, 3 of four of the gauge bulbs were "hanging out of or loose in the gauge" like they hadnt been pushed in all the way, or more probably, vibration shook them loose. Strange though. But, once I got the whole fairing off it was easy to get at the lower gauges, I recommend everyone change out to these led's they are WAY brighter than stock. Much easier to see at night.

That's not uncommon, the retention of the bulb holder to the gauge is cheesy at best.  Would have been much better with a quarter turn design to lock them in, but in the meantime I just carefully spread the two sides to get a little tighter fit.  Seem to be staying in OK now, even with all the shaking when my fairing bracket broke.

Has anyone replaced the low fuel light?  It's very hard to see "in white" and I was wondering what (if anything) is available to make it brighter and/or a different color.

I wouldnt think you could get in there, but, if it is possible, someone on this site will do it. and, if so, let me know and I'll do mine.

Since this topic was linked back to I thought I'd add and ask..
1st-I had trouble seeing the security light up against the gauge so I added a new LED to the fairing off to the side so it was more obvious to the casual observer. And me. I think you could do the same thing for the low gas lite also. Just parallel the wire from the gauge connector. Pick the panel mount LED of your choice.
2nd thing to you guys that have added the SuperBright LEDs to your gauges, have you noticed the fogging gone?(if you had it)

Good idea about the "aux" light mounted in the fairing.  Never really had a problem with fogging so I can't say if the LEDs helped.

Check once more.  Very last item on the first product page.

Is that still the case, Don?   Last one on the page at the moment is 921-R12

They did change the page. You need the WLED-x5 bulb. Now near the end of that page.

I have the SuperBright LEDs in all four of my gauges, they are brighter and make them much easier to read at night :2vrolijk_21:.  They still get fogged upped but it seems  :nixweiss: to dissipate faster than before.
Hope this helps!

Since the OPG uses the twist type connector, I was looking at the entire catalog for the SuperBrightLED's.

Wouldn't  'Twist-Lock T10S-TW work and then adding the correct 5W led wedge bulb?

Looks like the answer.  It's on page 2

I changed out 4 bulbs tonite. Got the red bulbs at Advanced Auto Parts. They were 194R and they look very close to the tack and speedo. Really easy to read and the install was simple. No problem reaching them either. Makes a huge difference.
