Mr Unbalanced

Great pictures!
Even though I'm a Freedom pipes man the D&D's do give me a good second option.
Put that puppy on the dyno and see what she does.

O yeah
nice dog in the picture! [smiley=smilie_koch1.gif]

HD2003,

Remmy is a wonderful 18 month old shepherd.   Check your PM's.

Also as a side note I just ordered the tapered baffle to compare against the Pro Baffle.

It should be here Wednesday next week just in time to check it out for the dyno.

Looks like were going to dyno the bikes on thursday or friday next week.

Stay tuned (no pun intended),

Displacing Air,

I put up a file for you to hear the bike at idle originally i did it small so it could be uploaded here without taking up much space then I found out I couldnt upload it here.  Maybe Naitram can put up some ftp space for stuff like this that isn't per se a jpg or pdf.

If its not long enough for you to get an idea please let me know I can make a longer file for you and let you download that.

Yes the sound is definately more throaty then the Rhineharts.   I like em

O'fender do you have the stock muffler that they send or did you get the perfomance baffle?  I was told there is a difference in sound.   With the map I have in the bike there is very little backfiring only when i hit full throttle and just let it go to hear it idle down.   My rhineharts did it to so its not something unique to the pipe :)

I ordered the performance baffles (I beileve that is what they sent would not know with out a comparison so take a photo of the inside then maybe I could tell)
as far as the popping is concerned your right it is not the pipes, I recently learned that it can ALL be eliminated with the mapping, my bike has none in the current map and it took a lot of tweaking to get it all out, just a nice little growl now. [smiley=pumpkin.gif]

O'Fender look at the bottom of your pipe where is the nut that holds the baffle in .. is it halfway or by the end of the muffler.   If it is halfway down then it is the pro pipe if its by the end of the muffler than it is the tapered baffle.

It is about 1/2" from the end of the exhaust, so does that make it the tapered?

Unbalance, Thanks again for all the pictures and also the sound clip  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
I think i have finally made my mind up to go with the D&D System.  Being as
i am now still runnung all stock, I'm sure this will put a smile on my face......

Now i just have to find the best deal..... Where did you order yours from?
Did they have the performance baffles or did you have to get the baffles
directly from D&D?

Thanks Again

I had to go through the vendor that sold me the Rhineharts since he was having to do the return (RMA) to Bub and was getting the credit it wasnt handled directly through me.  In the end it all worked out fantastic, so I saved shipping and lost a bit of a Web discount so be it they made the process easy and to me not having to be frustrated or sitting waiting on someone was worth every penny.   I used Millers Custom Parts (Dale or George Sr.)  They are great to deal with in Daytona Florida on US1.  They have a set in stock btw :)

I do not think you will be disappointed and glad I could help.   I really wish they (D&D) would put up more pictures of the falsie and a rear view of the bike would really help those that dont have intimate knowledge of the pipes.

I called D&D this morning...I got a lady and asked for support dept. or tech. support.

She said the service guy is no longer with them...yeah...not plural....the guy.
I asked about maps for the Fatcat...she said "didnt know"..."what do you mean a map"...put me on hold...came back
and said the Harley dealer would have them.

Asked about a false left pipe...she said "a what".  OK...now I'm scared.I usually get transfered after a couple of "I dont knows" with most Companies...she wasnt proud.

Asked about inventory...on hold again...she said we have stock on the fatcats and something called a "ghost pipe" that goes with it...I said thanks...and have a nice day...she was very nice.

Couldnt see if she had a sign or not over the phone..."Heres your sign"!

Displacing,

Ask to speak to Jennifer she can help you.   They had a guy that was the lead person to talk to for tech and they have guy that actually knows what is going on who does all the dynoing and testing.

Unfortunately you talked to someone clueless.   If you have questions ask to speak to the guy in R&D he is great to talk to and knows what is going on.   Unfortunately the twit that left has the maps as he was the one setting up their website to be rebuilt.

I have a 2005 SEEG with D&D Fat Cat 2:1. The bolt is about 1/2' from the rear of the pipe on the bottom. My setup also includes a power commander usb3 and a screaming eagle air cleaner. Had my bike dyno tuned and have posted my dyno charts (stock, after mods but before tuning and also after tuning) in the dyno number thread. I have been told the dyno my bike was tuned on reads about 3%-7% lower than most dyno's. Bike runs great, no popping or anything like that. The sound is AWSOME. I get complimented all the time from fellow riders. Really glad I went with D&D instead of Rineharts. Have 2 friends with cracked Rineharts and not very happy with them. After viewing the pictures of the "gost pipe" I will probably buy one. Looks great and I hear it is only about a $150. Thats a huge piece of chrome for such a small amout out $$'s.

Thanks for the feedback Wilber there are not many around here in my area with them.   I really like the look of the falsie / ghost pipe myself.

In reference to your lower HP / TQ I have felt that mine actually were on the low side based on other posts and dyno's that were uploaded to the site.   If you happen to get a chance you might want to seek out a 2nd opinion on a different dyno if you havent already.   I could not find a post where you uploaded the dyno chart if you have it could you possibly post it?   I would like to check it out.

Thanks in advance,
