The '05 sets better, I actually sat on both today and compared, but I also bought a Sundowner for long rides. Had one on my Road King with ProPad Gel Inserts and wife loved it, so I bought a new one for the '05.

We test rode a 05 i loved the seat, wife hated it, says the seat on our Heritage Softail is better in bad.  Any advice to keep her happy. I put a corbin touring seat on our V-Rod. You know what they say, If momma not happy no one is happy!!!!!

I sat on an 05 yesterday at the Arkansas state rally in Hot Springs.  (Saw several SE Road Kings, two Deuce, two RG, but only one SEEG of either year the whole weekend).

I'm not sure if I would have liked it ok or not on the road but I know for sure the rider backrest would have to be moved back.  The guy said it was in the stock position (he'd never had the seat off) and in that position I was so far forward that my.... um... er.... well, my b... yes, my balls were smashed against the nose of the seat.  Badly!

There are supposed to be front to back adjustments that it can be moved to so it would definitely have to go back a little.  If that position was all the way back (couldn't be as I've only got a 32" inseam) then a call to Corbin will have to happen very quickly.  Mommas may not to be happy.  But so do the boys.

I was hoping the 05 seat would be more comfy than my 04.......but wrong....The 05 moved me forward about an inch. I'm tall and decided to try the comfort stitch tallboy for a Roadking ( new this year ) and it works for me very nice.....

I rode my '04 and then rode the '05, found no differnece in the seat locatoin, did notice the '05 seat seemed a little more comfortable, and the passanger seat seems a little more wider (does not taper) which will be better for the wife.

I'm 6'1 inch if that helps anyone...
