SERG seat--take a look Chip
« on: March 08, 2008, 11:11:41 PM »

Here it is Chip.  It was caked with dust and muck.  Had been stored in the open overhead of a workshop for a long time.

Gave it a decent cleaning to make sure there were no gotchas under the muck.  Looks pretty good actually.  It is a correct seat for the Road Glide's dash.  There are some finger prints showing in the photos but the seat itself is surprisingly decent.  Let me know if it's a look you're ok with and I'll square it away with the guy.

First pic up there was just to show fit to the dash.  Here's a more general shot.

Will get it in a box and on the way the first of the week.  Cleaned on it just a bit more later last night and then gave it a bit of leather dressing for you.  The leather had gotten dry and needed some TLC.

Looked at it again this morning and it's going to come back in good shape though.  Had pulled the factory backrest bracket off the SERG last night so could set this seat down on the bike and it's a pretty good fit too.  Just a bit forward from the stock location.  Quite frankly it's better with these handlebars than the stock seat is.  Doesn't feel too bad on the rear end either.  But it's a Corbin so that's to be expected.

Will give it one more treatment of leather dressing than wrap it in a garbage bag and find a box it'll fit in.  Have consulted with the voices in my head and discovered it's been seriously discounted too.  Invoice will be in the box :P ::) :huepfenlol2: .

That looks cool. If anybody runs on to something like that again, I'd be interested. That big couch cushion I've got on the bike now looks a little goofy without the tour pack on, but it is comfortable. Stephanie likes it, so I like it.  :P
