The battery box band cover is a must have accessory and makes a big difference in appearance IMO. It looks like you have put on some bolt cap covers and chrome bolts too and that is always a nice modification. Too much chrome?? I think not, your CVO Fat Bob is looking great! I bet the Garmin comes in handy too for finding new roads to ride on, I know that I like mine.

RYR88, did the band fit without any problems? I ask because I bought one and it didn't fit. When I took it back the dealer brought it outside to my bike and he couldn't get it to fit either. It was an 1/8" short of going around the batt cover. You don't mention any fitment problems so I assume it went on without a problem. Just trying to figure out what I (and the dealer) were doing wrong. Of course I ended up doing this anyway http://garysbikes.wordpress.com/  You're bike is looking quite nice!

Looks great.  Would even look better with a chrome starter.  Does that answer your question.    :)

Agreed.  That battery box trim is a great looking piece.  So good looking it really makes that black starter and non-diamond-cut cylinder fins stand out ??? .

Gary... Unfortunately, there is not any trim available for the side panels on the CVO Fat Bob.  Too new, for any aftermarket trim either.  I loved what you did with your yellow.  I considered something similar but opted for the chrome.  I had to replace the battery box cover with a standard Dyna cover.  Currently the cover is gloss black.  Gonna have it painted to match in a few weeks.

Yea, eventually I'll have to have the chrome starter.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I was going crazy. Wonder why HD changed the dimensions of the box on the SE?

  Gary

The standard Dyna battey cover has an indentation formed in it and mounting screw holes to mount the trim.  The SE battery box was a new design and wasn't intended to put a band on it.  Maybe the MOCO will introduce new trim later.  I was determined to make it work and I think it looks great.   :2vrolijk_21:   It does make the black starter stand out more, though.  Also, I put the Dyna Electrial Panel Cover trim on.  I'm planning on having the Sceamin' Eagle logo engraved into it.
