trapperdog = what kind of skin is your seat made of?

(fau) tan alligator. Much thicker then the Ostrich I was originally thinking of and slightly a different color. Not for everybody but it works for me.

Sweet.  I've never seen their tan fakealligator in person.  Just their tan fakeostrich.  From the photo it's hard to distinguish between the two.  A little thicker might be a good thing.

Don't you have the big bird on one of your seats? I think that's what inspired mine.

No big bird here.  On the Electra Glide have the tan ostrich dual tour and a black dual tour with red welt (heated winter seat ).  The Road Glide has the three tone red dual tour.

Now you've got me curious about the bird seat.  Can't think of who has that.  Grover has a very cool CVO logo embroidered in to his Alligator Bob's seat.  It may be the coolest I've seen so far as emblems, embroideries or seat patch work goes.  But I can't thing of a bird embroidered saddle right now.

Oh yeah....  D'uh.   Me being too literal again.  Trouble was there is a saddle that has the eagle's head in its stitching.  That's the one I was trying to remember.  Pretty sure it's a Corbin.  But I'll be damned if I can remember who has it.

It might be Spyder.  Got two images bouncing around inside my head and I'm not sure they're separate or just a fogged up memory.  One is an eagle stitched in a saddle and one is as you describe.  Bet it's not variations on an image but two distinct seats I'm trying to remember.

Hey JC--how soft is that seat. I have heard the Corbins can be pretty hard. I like the look of that one and was going to go to a solo over the winter (hopefully)

Soft doesn't give support where it's needed.  To the touch, Corbin seats feel very hard.  But it's a seat that you can spend twelve or fifteen hours in the saddle and not get monkey butt!   For me, that's what's important.  If you want "soft" you might want to stay with a stock Harley seat.

I agree....the not gettin monkey butt is important!! I wish Corbin wasn't so far away. I would really like to go get it made like you did. I guess I will have to settle with ordering online. Do you think the backrest can support a TBag like a regular 2 up stock backrest. I would like to attach to that solo backrest and lean the luggage on the solo luggage rack.

Not sure.  I don't know anything about a T Bag.  I've had tour packs since before they started making T-bags. 

The stock passenger back rest is very short.....not sure I'd rely on it to hold much of anything.

How are they working out for you JC?  I bet it's not as convienent as the tourpac you've been use to......but, they look better bungyed on back there.   har!  spyder
