Did HD release a new version of the heavy breather (I know, could check the P&A site but I really need the post count)? Remember the -08 version specifying against use with fairing lowers.
New one or just mounted it anyway?
Sorry about the delay in responding. I needed to get the box out and verify what I had.
It's; P/N 29253-08A HEAVY BREATHER A/C KIT TOURING
And, from the US SE10 Catalog;
"Fits ’08-later Touring models. Street legal when used with Original Equipment throttle body. Also fits with 58mm
Throttle Body P/N 27713-08 and 27639-07 (race application only). Installation with Throttle Body P/N 27639-07 requires purchase of (2) Screw P/N 29465-08. Does not fit models equipped with fairing lower glove boxes.*"
I've still got the stock TB p/n 27685-08A (which requires the 29465-08 Breather Bolts), so I it's still street legal. But, the filter does have a space conflict with the right side glove box. So no glove box.
Hawg Sounds earlier identified a new Compact Design HB and new filter that's soon to be available, but the 29253-08A with standard filter will work with lowers and no glove box.
So, how important is the right side lower fairing glove box?
For me, getting rid of the overheated football A/C was the need. My boot zipper has gotten so hot sitting next to the football that it burned my leg just sitting at a stop light. And, that's not funny.
This was all about rider comfort. Not performance.
