Question on cleaning your chrome
« on: March 15, 2012, 03:56:36 PM »

Two questions on cleaning chrome:

1. After installing new highway pegs I decided to lower them slightly, now I have a small line on my chrome that i would like to remove, any ideas?

2. Any ideas on how i can remove / clean a small scratch on a chrome footpeg.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

You cannot buff out a scratch in chrome.  Hwy pegs will make that mark, nothing you can do.

Chrome is a mechanical coating, nothing will remove scratches, except rechrome.

dip into your wallet and repurchase the same product! mental note!  think before tightening fastener.

That's rough, but absolutely correct. ;D
