You are sooooo right Doc! What is up with the leather box? Looks like they had some left over from a RK Classic. Big mistake, IMHO.

Acutally on the old ThunderChicken it's not on either side.  Pull a lever to release the spare tire on the continental kit, the tire tilts back, and the gas door is through the trunk lid.

I'm with you Shrader. I think they did the leather Tour Pack so if you want a real painted one you have to order it separately... an extra couple of K in Harley Tax. ( I had to order the full Tour Pack to go with my cherry SEEG2 they wouldn't sub for the chopped one.)
