Newbe Here
« on: September 07, 2005, 10:38:30 PM »

Picked up my new Ultra SE last Friday, couldn't be happier. It's a GREEN one. So far no problems after 550 miles with the exception of radio won't pick up XM. I sure thought I had read somewhere that these bikes had the lowered supsension, but I most have dreamed it. I may have to lower it at 5'8" the only way I can stand flat footed is with western boots with large heels.

Congatulations! I have same bike. You have to call phone number to have radio activated. I am about 5'9" think I will leave the suspension alone . The ride is too nice to sacrifice. Good Luck! [smiley=beerchug.gif]

Newbe here also. I picked up my Green one about 3 weeks ago. Hey 06ultrase I see you are in Greensboro. I'm just a short distance from you in Oak Ridge. What dealership did you buy from? Got mine at Cox's in Asheboro.

Thanks everyone. I'll have some pics as soon as I get me another camera, my current one died.
Hey FXDJerry I had the service activated but the display is telling me to check the antenna.
06GSEU got mine in Greensboro. You live just around the corner I'm in Summerfield. We need to get together and go riding.

Congrats on the new ride, got one myself and I'm lovin every mile on it.  You can either pull the fairing and check the antenna yourself or have your dealer do it, but the antenna just sits on top of a plate inside the fairing and the lead runs into the XM accessory box on top of the radio, it's pretty obvious once your in there.

No, the FLHTCUSE is standard ride height - but unless the heated seat is a lot higher than the standard Ultra one, I'm surprised by what you say about not being able to get your feet flat down - I'm 5'5

I seem to remember being able to get both feet on the ground on my 99 Ultra with regular shoes on but not this one, it maybe the heated seat, I'll have to sit on a standard Ultra. There was no problem with the RK. At any rate I really am enjoying it western boots or not.
Got the XM working also, it's amazing how well it works when the antenna is hooked up.
