Removed the bags and side covers, put her on the lift and she got a full wax top to bottom.  I wish I could get her dirty by riding to Sturgis next week! :pepper:

Cleaned the rear caliper from all the built up brake dust. It was causing a horrible racket during low speed heavy rear braking.

Sent from my boring Droid phone.

What kind of racket? Kind of a rattle -slam?

More of a grinding noise. It was weird. Only happened at the very end of coming to a stop. Didn't do it all the time either. The dust/dirt was caked in there pretty good. Took some brake dust cleaner and a toothbrush to the calipers to get all that gunk off.

You can keep that brake dust buildup from minimal to nothing by just Liberally spraying Eagle 1 A-2-Z tire and brake cleaner down into the center of the caliper everytime you wash the bike. Mine look like new, no dust or buildup of any amount. I also do the cars and truck, buy the Stuff in a Half Gallon pump spray bottle at Pep Boys when on sale or Amazon always has it. I use it on everything from the Ceramic tile in shower to the vehicles. It is also safe for painted surfaces such as powder coated wheels or edge of fender while spraying and the brown dirt that rolls off the tires, even when they look clean, it pretty amazing.
Only other thing I notice is I remove bags/seat/cover breather & radio and thoroughly wash the bike weekly. But brake dust does accumulate pretty fast and is actually metallic particles that rust and corrode.

I think I have a bottle of that at home I picked up for the wheels on the car. I will double check when I get home. If that's what it is though it stated on their not to use on motorcycles. Again I will double check when I get home to verify this

FYI; I have a couple gallons of Eagle 1 A-2-Z on hand. I went out and checked, no where could I find anything saying not to use on Motorcycles. I have been using this stuff, liberally, since the '90's. It is not a etching product and I promise will not hurt anything on the bike in the brake/suspension category that is COOL. I personally would not use any cleaning product on a hot surface. I literally drowned the wheels/tires/brake rotors & brake calipers. Lightly scrub the tires and use a micro fiber sponge on the wheels & brakes.

Is the attached picture the product you are speaking of? Wanted to make sure since it doesn't include "brake cleaner" on it. TIA.
