Title: Front fender differences?
Post by: SmokeyJoe on December 17, 2013, 01:47:25 PM
Are the front fenders on a 2012 CVO any different on the CvO compard to the Road Glide non CVO?

Only the paint.  The mount is different.  The CVO front fender is mounted an inch lower (shorter bracket).

So the reason i was asking is because my dealer is saying he needs to,cut something and drill a hole to mount my ARlen Ness  hot legs.

Probably fine but I would want to know exactly what they're going to do before you let them cut or drill into your fender!

I assume you are talking about these. See below.

So i went to see what they wanted to do and they are going to widen the fender cutout some so it will mount to the legs.  Turns out they already finished the forks.

It sounds like you're ok. Post a picture of the finished product if you can. Good luck!

One thing I did notice that i am not thrilled about is the Yafee sliders go down the fork leg fairly far.  This cuts off the upper part of the cut made in the leg, you know the cut that makes it a contrast cut.

No pics yet, but this weekend I am going to try and get the bike.
