Traded out a photograph for some gunsmithing.  Got the guy to Duracote the Colt 1911 22LR to match my two Sigs.  Looks pretty, pretty, pretty, good IMO.  Gives it a little character instead of just all black.  Sig C3 on top, Colt on the bottom...

Other side of the Colt..

Nice, I'm thinking about selling my Kimber. Shot maybe 75-100 rounds. Just can't get used to carrying it with the hammer back at least I'm not comfortable with it. Pro Covert II and its a nice piece just not me. I really like my H&K P7 for the carry piece. Most people couldn't shoot it if they could take it away. Very cool sqeeze cocker!

Pro Covert II is the one I never shoot. I thought I might carry it but I don't.

My 2 cents Lou is that this gun is to big for a carry piece.  It has over a 7" barrel making it not very practical for concealed carry.  Perhaps the ultra Pro Convert ll would have been a better choice.  Nice pistol from Kimber all things considered.

Maybe...the whole gun is 7" long but the handle is about the same as an ultra CDP. But I've had one of those and they are a handful to shoot. Just don't like carrying somethng with the hammer back. Eveytime I reach to grab it out of the carry holster your thumb runs right accross the the slide lock (safety). That situation would happen so fast. Just not comfortable with it. I really like the P7 but I think I might get a new Ruger hammerless .38 with the composite frame. I forget what its call but I saw one over the weekend. Pretty cool for a carry piece on the bike.

I have the Kimber CDP Ultra for carry and I don't keep the hammer back.  If I need to use it for defense I figured it won't take me long to pull the hammer back.  I carry it when I do trips on my mc.

I also own a XDM 45,3.8 and athough it says made in Croatia. It is a good peice. I own many 45,s and it is not the best but it shoots consistantly. Good gun for home defense. It shoots everything without a hiccup.

That is an AD waiting to happen if it is on a loaded chamber.  Have a friend who carried like that for several years until the seat belt got him.  Got lucky but had one heck of a time explaining it to his wife and the upholstery shop.
