I had a spot 2nd in line for $594.99 that I placed a year and a half ago.  However, last January the place OMB Express went belly up.  I knew I should have placed orders at multiple places!

That said, there have been alot of discussions about naggin little problems and breakage.  Even if I had secured one, it would have gone straight to Gunbroker.

Good job on your sale.

Quite a few problems that continue to be noted...the worst of which is the failure to feed even with the modified ramps.  Doesn't help that you've got add'l. rounds if they won't load properly EVERY time in a defensive weapon.  And the plastic guard... :confused5:...why does anyone build a weapon out of plastic?  spyder

Exactly - Imho, I wouldn't touch one of those things for another year or so to keep. It's going to take them some time to work out the bugs. By then, there will be something else.  In the meantime my Mossberg 500 Mariner with the ATI tactical stock and front rail will tide me over.  Might even consider a Saiga 12 as well.

As long as you're buying it new they warranty it for life of the owner. I don't plan on selling it, just shooting the hell out of it. If it breaks they'll fix it. I've got other means for home defense this ones just for craps & giggles. I've contacted all the big companies advertising sub 600 prices and none of them know when they're receiving stock. Plus any they anticipate are all already sold. My FFL that I'm having it sent to says his vendors laugh whenever he asks about taking in stock. At 680 I don't feel so bent over. I know once the market is flooded they'll be 500 all day, but at the output rate that KT is doing it will take a long time for all us nuts to have one and be done with it. I'm just hoping to have it at the 3 side of 3-6 months  ::)

While I own some weapons for home defense and sport, I am very curious about any true stories of if anyone here has had to use their weapon that they "carry" on their bike or other situations. I know about "peace of mind" very well, but am truly interested in actual experiences.

Thank you very much...

That's a good question I'd be interested in too. Never had to use mine yet but a time or two I was sure glad I had it in my pocket! Having someone of the rough nature scoping you out or someone asking you for money on the rough side of town always puts a little edge on the possibility's??

Never pulled and leveled it, but have gripped my .45 a couple of times hoping the situation wouldn't warrant a draw. Imho, that's a huge deal and I hope I never get to that threshold.

Yeah me to   :2vrolijk_21:    Most  people where I live  carry GUNS legal or not  :confused5: Mostly concealed
Your best defense, Is to be aware of your surroundings  ;) Dont get caught slippen(street slang,For not paying attention)I go to the range 4 or 5 times a month,But as most of you know if someone has the drop on you,Dont be reaching for your gun.  Timing is everything ,dont let adreniline get you killed,Use your mind, think and react to the situation. What Im saying is #1 if there trying to ROB a biker, there comin at you guns drawn and in a hurry!    When your getting gas or leaving a bar or anywhere for that matter ,Keep your head on a swivel and know who's around you  ;) GOOD LUCK

Today I played around with a Beretta A400, semi auto shotgun. OMG , you could carry it if you wear a trench coat, but that thing is chambered 3.5 and shoots 6 shells in less than 3 seconds. Great weapon. Awesome review here.

Have owned various versions of the SPAS-12 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franchi_SPAS-12) for over 20years & if you're interested in a GREAT combat shotgun for home defense I highly recommend--it's incredible reliable & practically indestructible...   :2vrolijk_21:
