A REAL man's rifle

Put aside your girly-man .458 Win Mag or your wimpy .50 cal and watch guys shoot a real gun, the largest center-fire rifle ever made, the .950 JDJ by SSK Industries. Only three were ever made. This was the lightest, the carbine version, weighing in at 50 lbs. It shoots a .95 caliber, 2,400-grain bullet at 2,100 fps using 240 grains of powder, which generates 25,400 ft/lbs of muzzle energy and 277 ft/lbs of recoil energy. That's about the same as shooting 10 30-06s at the same time! Each round costs $40.

Just my .02 but I would reconsider that method of carry. I know it's reasonably priced but I would be concerned for several reasons.
First in an emergency you would be slow to draw your weapon. Then in removing or storing your weapon you would be showing the weapon to anyone in view. Also with this system you are depending on the H-D saddlebag pins and lock to keep the weapon on the bike.

For self defense you should keep the weapon on yourself so you can maintain control of the weapon and have access when needed.

For just weapon transport like from a range and back home you might want to consider a system like this to provide vault like security for your weapon and it also secures your saddlebags to the bike. The downside of this system is it uses some saddlebag space and is expensive.

Tried search and didn't get any hits. Anyone own an FN Five Seven? Hadn't heard of them until I heard someone talking about them... looks pretty bad ass! 5.7×28mm (.224), 20 round mag (or an extended 30), 1800fps, low recoil, effective to 100m... seems like a pretty sweet package (though pretty spendy).

Good luck getting one...  I have a gun broker friend in Rocklin that's been trying for a year...However, if you want to pay an inflated price you can get them.... This thing is suppose to be bulls eye accurate upto 100 yards... :2vrolijk_21:
