Two?  You must be lucky!

I really love my Kimber SIS "full size with rail". You could sell it to a fellow Kimber owner for like $50.  ;D :huepfenlol2:

No problem.., you can have it for $50 plus $950 tax.  :P ;D :D

I have two of these pistols and I'm interested in selling this one.  What is it worth?   :nixweiss:
Kimber Ultra CDP ll 45

In my area most of the used Kimber's seem to be going between 800-1000

Was just at my local dealer (neighbor works out of his basement) looking at a couple of Kimber's he has. Although he doesn't currently have the CDP most of his new K's usually are under 1K.
A year ago in this area you would have gotten what you paid. But that was when you could buy a S&W M&P 15 Sport for $1400. The Sport is back down to under $700 locally.

If I had a permit currently I would be interested, depending on .............

My local:

Gunbroker can give you an idea, but that site is a lot like evilbay - supply and demand.

Kimber Ultra CDP ll 45
Bought May 2012
Has only had 50 rounds put through it.  Paid $1,387.00 included the taxes.

If it were mine, I wouldn't take anything less than $900 for it.  JMO. You shouldn't have any trouble selling it at that price.

Totally agree.  I can shoot my 5" Springfield Loaded or my 4.25" R1 all day long without issue.  The XDs gets a mag or two for proficiency and that's it.

I find that I just don't enjoy shooting .40 much anymore.   I've got a SigPro 2022 that's a great shooter, but the round itself just does nothing for me.

My wife loves 9mm, so I'll probably always have a safe full of various platforms, but for me, I'm plenty happy with good 'ol .45ACP.

How's that 5.7 handle?

Sent from my iPad, probably while I'm pooping.

The 5.7 is just plain fun to shoot.  Very accurate, recoil similar to a 22LR pistol.  Small round really with lots of powder behind it.  The highest muzzle velocity of any pistol, 2130 feet per second.  It has round available to the military and LE that will penetrate Kevlar vests, double stacked at 100 yards.  It has a very flat trajectory.  The anti gun folks just hate the pistol and call it a cop killer.  Took me a long time to spend the money as it is and expensive plastic gun.  Got it when my local gun store had it on sale for 995, and FN was offering a 250 rebate to Military.  I really do love to shoot the gun so does my wife, very accurate.

My 5" Ed Browns are a blast to shoot, and in them you can shoot the 230 grain 45 acp all day long.  My Les Baer Stinger, 4" barrel with officer grips it easy to shoot too.  Its my winter carry.  My summer carry is my Kimber CDP II Ultra which is a 3" barrel and officer grips.

Yes the green tips are good, but you gotta check out these.  http://www.eliteammunition.net/57x28mm_ammunition/T6.html
2570fps and they go through anything. Very fun, but expensive to shoot.

Not good for self defense. Over penetration is an issue and a liability

I go to the range frequently, and usually put 200~300 rounds of 230 grain .45 ACP down range though the various 1911's I own.  Not bad in a well balanced 1911 at all.  Usually shoot another 50 rounds in my FN5.7 and 100 in my 1911-22lr, then 50 rounds in my 40S&W XD.

The XD is the one that has the sharpest recoil, bites even more than my 3" barrel 1911.  The 5" 1911s are the most fun to shoot.
where are you getting the 5 7 ammo at a reasonable price? Its pretty tough to find around here.

Never said I had it for carry.  I do have it in the home.

Carry is a 1911 45.  In the home is depending on what room I am in a 1911 45, a shot gun, and on my night stand an xd 40 with a light and laser.

Luckily I bought lots and lots of it 18 months ago.  I still have 2K plus rounds.  Been very hard to find since Dec of 12.

people often let their guard down at home. Good to be prepared. Lots of occupied home invasions happening nationwide and I'm afraid it's only going to get worse.
