Looking for reviews of the "rider backrest" from www.cvobackrest.com.
For any of you guys that have this, what's your opinion? Is it a good product? Does it flex too much? Worth the $$$?
Or would you suggest I just purchase a seat from Mustang with backrest built in?
Of course we are talking $200 vs $500+

I bought one near the end of last season, wish I would have bought one sooner. Much more comfy now, just my opinion, hope it helps.
Cheers

I just added one recently. http://cvobackrest.com/ It has a minimal amt of flex. Of coarse that is going to depend on how big you are. I'm 6' 2" and about 210 lbs. The fit and finish is excellent. The pad is nothing fancy, a little thick and kind of generic but it looks ok and works well. One thing that I did notice is that if you install the back portion of your seat immediately when new you get very little if any flex in the backrest because its so tight. I rode mine around awhile solo just to kind of break it in and get it to flex a little. Cust. service is excellent also and don't forget to mention this sight for a discount.
Hope this helps

I had this on my 17 CVO Street glide and moved it to my 18 CVO Road glide. I did not buy their pad. I got the matching passenger pad from Harley that matches my sear, it mounts on the back rest just fine. They use the same bolt pattern.
Mine has been used for 27K miles so far between the two bike. It flexes a little but not bad. I do not lean real hard on it, but it gives very good support.
I would buy it again. Not a fan of their pad, but it looks great with a harley pad that matches the seat.

I was just about to order the CVO Backrest but the folding one from Dcrane looks interesting. Hopefully he posts some additional info.

Ummmmmm. He’s referring to the backrest in post 4,5 and 6. Not post 1 and 2
Different backrest all together.

I really like mine I also used the cvo passenger pad that matches my seat for the pad....one reason is the style and also i like it because the pad is thin and i sit back just right.

Also ...I had the mustang solo with the backrest and i sold it because i didnt like the seat and the backrest pushed me straight up and down and it was not comfortable. The passenger seat in my pic is the 13 inch mustang and my wife loves it I use it on my road glide and my king

It bends your back fender.

I have one of their backrest on my '18 CVO RG and really appreciate it. I bought the pad for an '18 CVO SG to keep the same look as the seat.
Going to take a 1200 mile ride this weekend and will a lot more input next week.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180423/18888e85c5b3b2ffa6453453dd52c533.jpg)

It bends your back fender.
Could you elaborate ?

It bends your back fender.
Photos? I could see it if you put A LOT of weight against it....but....with a little caution, it should be OK.

Put 21K on my 17 CVO Street glide using the CVO backrest, it never bent my fender. I have just over 9K on my 18 CVO road glide and it has not bent my fender. Using the one from CVObackrest.com
