Cheap Fix
« on: June 26, 2011, 09:18:28 PM »

Wasn't sure if this cheap fix had  been previously posted.

The Arlen Ness Big Sucker aircleaner assembly does an admirable job in almost eliminating the oil nose bleed problem. My Evo had it pretty bad and once I installed the Big Sucker it was good to go most of the time. However it would sometime crop up during extended highway driving on those hot summer days. My FLHTCUSE has a similar aircleaner and didn't leak a drop till last weeks trip. Clean the aircleaner with carb cleaner, lay in one of these and no more leaks. When changing the oil, change the rag. Yes...I have lost a few  after prolong riding in the rain. Been known to carry a spare in the saddle bag.

Fished a King Mackeral tournament in 1995 out of Pirates Cove in NC. The king as gaffed and started to bleed like a stuffed pig. our lady angler took out a tampon and inserted into the gaff hole to stop the bleeding. The 3 guys on the boat looked at each other in awe......not saying a word.

We won the tournament by .15lbs.....and $37K. Second place was $8K

That was a $29K tampon :2vrolijk_21:
