Bagger's History Lesson
« on: December 16, 2006, 09:43:19 PM »

Thought I'd share a bit of our history.  Renea and I hail from north central Tennessee near Clarksville.  We have a small farm in southwest Montgomery County near Cumberland City, TN, which we still own.  We're both Army brats, and as you know, I am a retired Army Warrant Officer.  My last Army tour was a move to Fort Rucker, AL....despite my impending retirement.  It worked out very well for post-retirement employment.  We lived in the Fort Rucker area (Enterprise) until this past June, when we moved to Meridianville, AL, which is just north of Huntsville.
Wanted to share a few pictures of us over the last few years.  Here's one of Renea next to our FXST while we were on the Dorena Ferry crossing the mighty Mississippi on our way to Lambert's Cafe in Sikeston, MO for some Throwed Rolls! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  2004

This is a picture of our Annie Bea at our Tennessee home.  To this day, she won't let her butt touch the floor when she sits.

Nice pictures Henry! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

That Dorena Ferry crossing the mighty Mississippi is a nice break. We did that last summer but Lamberts was too long of a wait for us. Your pup is too funny! Thanks for sharing. God Bless!

Hey, Bagger, nice-looking scooters and puppies!

I know what you mean about missing your '02 Ultra.  I had a luxury blue '02 Classic - my first Harley.  That's a great color and the one you had looks sweet!

Yeah, and it gets pretty hot too.  You should try cutting that field where Renea's garden is.  We've given thought about selling that place, then we retreat.  It goes back and forth.  Right now we're in "We're keeping it" mode.
As far as I'm concerned, the destination is irrelevant.  I'm all for the trek.

Henry, what a great story and collection of the history of you and Renea.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]    It was especially nice viewing the pix and listening to your stories after hearing them at lunch yesterday.  I think we all could have talked for hours.   :)

Maybe the four of us can head to Chattanooga for a weekend.  Terry and I left early one Saturday morning about 6 weeks ago, spent the night,  [smiley=drink.gif] in downtown Chattanooga, toured the aquarium and IMax and was home before dark on Sunday.  Lots of fun and a beautiful ride.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]   We're also talking about spending the weekend in Mentone.   [smiley=apple.gif]

Yesterday was the first weekend I had ridden in 2 weeks and I was having serious withdrawals.   :'(    Yesterday I was smiling and peaceful.   :)   Ahh, the joys of riding.   [smiley=apple.gif]

Happy and Safe Trails,
Suzanne

Terry's babies are asleep in their respective fleece beds with visions of who knows what dancing in their heads.   ;D  Sometimes it appears that Shug, the adopted greyhound, has dreams of running.   ;D   Some nights I think Terry has dreams of Harleys riding in his head.   ;D

I once had a guinea pig that went to guinea pig heaven about 3 years ago.   :'(    I'd like to get another one, however, Terry thinks Shug might think it's something to chase and, well, need I say more.   ;D

Mentone! Wow, I went to Lookout Mountain Camp in Mentone, Al in 1960. "Fun for the kiddies at LMC in Wonderful Mentone" was the camp's slogan. Hummm, wonder if that place is still there, I remember it being absolutely beautiful but I was 8 or 9 at the time. In my mind, 50 years later, I see images that look like Colorado. I bet that is one fantastic place to do a ride.
As for all the veggie talk, are no cows, chickens or pigs there? Veggies are for the contestants on Survivor, give me ribs, fried chicken, fried catfish all with crispy french fries. Well I guess I do get some veggies in my salads but not sure since I flood them under with blue cheese dressing, all washed down with Budweiser.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
Hummmm, [highlight]I wonder if that's why I've had heart surgery three times before my 50th birthday[/highlight]. ;D ;D ;D

Your dedication is comendable MJ! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
Nice post Bagger, enjoyed the pics along w/ your history.
Roger MJ on the veggies though, in my book they're condiments, not entrees.
And I still miss my Lux Blue '01 Ultra. That was my first H.D. and it'll always be special.

Make no mistake about it, Diva will chomp down on a pork loin or nice filet of fish...she's just not much on red meat or fried things, though she likes the Blackened Cheeseburger they offer at our favorite place to eat.

I can make a meal out of butterbeans and cornbread though...others may suffer for it, but I sure do enjoy them.
