Would this be the correct tool to remove the pins in the throttle grip sensor molex connector. Im thinking of changing out handlebars & have to de-pin the big connector to fish thru the bars...

Yes. It's nice to see the price has come down.

Nice looking tool, but I just used a bent paper clip when I did my bars.

Sewing needles will get you there too. The point on the needle is a bit of a benefit compared to the paper clip too. Still a tedious chore though.

Still undecided if I'm gonna even attempt any of this. So you can use a paperclip or sewing needle to get pins out. Not quite sure where to stick pin to remove wires..

Well i tried but failed miserably getting the wires thru handlebars... I watched numerous videos & they made it look simple but in real life not so...
I bought a pull chain like you use on a ceiling fan. ( That what most of them were using in video) but it keep hanging up & breaking. I do believe that de-pinning all the connectors would make it easier..Well Im taking bars to dealer in am & gonna let them run wires then i will re install back on bike... I did manage to get a set of switch wires ran thou..

Tie a small nut on the end of a piece of 50 lb test fishing line. Use gravity to drop the nut through the bars carrying the line with it. Then use the line to pull the wires. It is a tedious and annoying job. Having said that it is readily do-able at home.

Dealer tech probably has less skill/patience than u. Stay with it, satisfaction coming.

I must have misinterpreted your post.
If you didn't de-pin the connectors, no wonder you couldn't pull the wires.

I de-pinned the throttle sensor connector & not any others... I just took to dealer & let them do it. Had to buy another throttle sensor cable as one i had said wouldn't got thru the bends due to the 2 connectors. The newer one is just wire with no connectors... I installed back on bike and all is good... The tech said he used 2 strings to pull wires at same time. Bars were the KST Renegades 14" rise.. Similar to Factory 47's. The insides were welds were had some slag in them causing some of my problems plus i was impatient...

Glad it all worked out to your satisfaction.
The new bars will make for a much better ride.
Good Job. 👍👍
