Hello has anyone heard of the production and arrival of the 2018 2018 FLHTKSEANV?
I gave a deposit back in August for the new ‘18 CVO anniversary odyssey blue.
Since then my dealership has told me they have no information as to production and arrival.
I’ve purchased an anniversary every five years for the last 15 years and never experienced this.
Why is it a secret?
Why is it so difficult for Harley Davidson to tell the customer when the motorcycle would arrive or at least be in fabrication for arrival?
Anybody have any information on this?
-
Dealers only get one of these bikes.
Harley decides when which dealer gets its one and only one of these bikes.
Dealer will only know one or two months out when its coming.
Unlike a car dealer order, the plant gets your order, and you can track the entire build.
Harley factory never gets a customer order, only dealer requests.
-
I understand the dealer only gets just one, I’ve been buying them since 2003.
It’s December and it would be nice to know when to expect delivery.
And it’s not just my model, I’ve got friends who have the same issues.
The MoCo probably would do better in sales if they didn’t make potential buyers wait for months after roll out to hear information about the motorcycle they want to purchase.
-
I also have one ordered and I was told there would be one in NY this weekend at the IMS show. I went to ny to see it and it was an anniversary ultra and the harley reps said paint is the same I hope not for the price of the bike. Any information will be welcome.
-
Hey I was going to the IMS show tomorrow to see the ANV.
I was told one would be there but it sounds like just more Harley-Davidson miss info.
The CVO ANV is one color only. Odyssey Blue. See attached.
If this isn’t the color you saw then it wasn’t the CVO ANV.
-
I hope it looks better in person. Boring. Battleship gray. Really boring. It's a wonder they sell any CVO bikes at all. Some of the non-CVO bikes have better looking paint. Sorry to hijack this thread but let's face it the only people who may know when these bikes may be at dealers are not telling. Good luck.
-
Thanks. It’s blue. Here’s a better pic.
-
I will double check, but I think I saw one at Bert's Black Window in Pt. Charlotte, FL last night.
-
Much better picture.
-
Look at the lowers in both pics. The part where some have speakers looks black in the first pic and silver in the second pic. I like the silver. Probably just reflection though as on passenger armrest
-
What is the dealers charging for it? Make sure you get the new oil pump...
-
Harley Davidson of Frederick Md. has one in stock! Saw it the other night. Looks nice!

:worthless:
-
I also have 1 on order. No info on when its coming in. At this point it can wait till march.
-
Mine arrived yesterday to Hannums Harley Davidson.
-
Same wheels as the non-CVO models? Thats a rip off...

Welcome (back) to the 1990's. Maybe that's the current MoCo financial plan....go back in time to when customers were on a waiting list and took whatever came in...no color choice, no information on models, premium prices over MSRP, used bikes were selling like hotcakes....yea, that's the ticket.
Of all the '18's CVO or otherwise, the CVO Limited anni looks to me (at least in the pictures) to be the best color. I'm looking forward to seeing one at some point as are, I'm sure, those of you who have one on order. I'm not sure that paint is worth the extra $2,000 over the top of an already pricey CVO line but hey, ya can't take it with ya.

Here is a picture that I took last night at Queen City Harley. As of last night is wasn't sold. The dealership didn't even know it was coming in until it came off the truck. I didn't think to ask what they were asking for it. The blue is a real deep blue and looks good, I just didn't like the silver stripe. I thought is was way to dark and just didn't stand out much. I guess I was looking for more contrast like the 2010 CVO Street Glide paint job. If your interested call 513-874-4343 and ask for Mike Demcho, just mention me.

Well, that looks a lot better than ANY of the other pictures I've seen of the Anniversary Editions.

from that picture it doesn't look a whole lot different than the 2013 anni - colour wise.

Hello everyone. A newbie here and my first post. I put a deposit down for an anniversary model in September. The dealer received notice on Monday that they would receive it Friday. I went to see it today and loved it. As many know, pictures just don't do these bikes justice. I have no experience with past CVO colors, but it is a very beautiful blue. The paint color and multiple accents are very nicely balanced. I bought it today, but won't bring it home until tomorrow. If the weather permits, I will take pictures and post them for you.
-
Hopefully the weather cooperates and you will be able to post some nice outdoor shots. :2vrolijk_21:
Congrats on your new ride, and welcome to a great the best site for CVO's.
Enjoy and ride safe!
-
Hi there, Grizzly - and anyone else who responds to this.
Can you tell me where you found the United States and Canada map that you are filling in with the states you visit?
I'm riding and chewing up the Interstates and backroads and want to start filling in a map of my own.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
-
Hey James,
Here's one site I found for you, but I can't remember if this is the site I used.
https://visitedstatesmap.com/
At the bottom of the page you can switch to Canadian Provinces if you wish, and also Mexico or even Europe if you've ridden there as well.
Keep enjoying colouring in those maps! :2vrolijk_21:
-
Thanks, Grizzly!
JD
-
You're very welcome James.
Happy trails to you.

Sounds like a lawn mower at idle. Sounds okay at speed. My '15 got the Screamin' Eagle Hi-Flow exhaust and Screamin' Eagle Street Canons. Big difference in sound. Anyone planning to upgrade the exhaust on the '18 CVO Limited Anv?
-
i received mine early Dec had them install the jekill & Hyde exhaust looks and now sounds great
-
Is there anywhere on the site to register your number and state of your CVO Anniversary Ultra?

You just created the thread to do that. :2vrolijk_21:

I'm late to the party, ive been staying out of Harley Dealers to avoid seeing a new bike I liked. Walked in to a Local Dealer and there it is. Up until now I haven't seen anything I would trade my 2015 Silver/Burgundy for. This bike is beautiful but this dealer said $50K. With MSRP at $44k that's a pretty big mark up.

Just tell the dealer "NO WAY". If you want it at MSRP, make him that offer.

Beautiful paint. Mine is still a few weeks away, but I have to know...
What does the rear of the bike look like? Like the domestic (USA) models with smoked grey tour pack lenses and tail lamp or like the European one with red tourpack lens, tail lamp and with bullet turn signals?
How do the rear lights function? Is the tour pak lighting run/brake/turn up here?
Pics of the back would be great!

I think I got my answer from a pic posted by "islandhog" (BC Canada) in another thread. Hopefully BC doesn't have different rules than Ontario!!

I assumed that all international bikes were alike in regards to rear lighting (which would have been a BIG disappointment for me living in Canada) but after seeing pics posted by islandhog (Above, also Canadian) I have hope... however...
Why would the MoCo leave the ugly black fender plug on the Canadian bike rather than the CVO Logo at the bottom of the rear fender. Mine is still a few weeks away, but I'm curious as hell!

WTF. THE FIRST BIKE WAS SOLD IN RUSSIA.
I thought this was an American first company.
Maybe that meeting with Trump was bullchit.
Why are all the first released bikes mostly in other countries.
That’s what the MOCO thinks of its American riders.
We should be getting the firsts of every bike released.

When some Russian oligarch wants to give you $200k for Anniv-#0001 good old capitalism kicks into high gear.

Hi All
I just purchased a 115 cvo limited anniversary
I want to add the #1068 of 1200 to the list of numbers
It is in Sussex , NJ
What a big diff from my 2015 cvo limited . A very different color and my father liked it so much he surprise me with the leather jacket
that matches . What a surprise . Then was able to do a first and was actually able to ride with my father . I have been riding for over 30 yrs and mt father at the age of 73 decided to get his motorcycle endorsement and bought a 2017 blue/blue tri glide. A true first and a memory that will last a life time
