I took delivery on 3/1/22 and the bike is absolutely beautiful (the Wicked Orange Model), and runs and rides great!!!
This is my 6th CVO and I love it... but I am disappointed that it lacked the following items which had always came with my previous CVO's:
1. CB Radio and CB Antenna
2. Satellite Radio
3. Only came with (1) Headset
The bike's MSRP was $47,899, plus shipping/delivery, along with an additional Harley Davidson pricing surcharge (almost $2,000 more), making the bike's price almost $50,000 (without a dealer markup), plus tax and license/title.
And adding the above missing items (I wanted and needed them), cost me almost another $2,000 (with labor), making the bike almost $52,000 plus tax and license/title. "WOW".
I think it is pretty screwed up for Harley Davidson to charge this ridiculous amount of money for a bike, and "NOT" include what had always previously came with the CVO Ultra/Limited models.
I think this will probably be my last Harley Davidson purchase... and it's probably people like me (previous CVO owners), that mostly buy these kinds of bikes!!!
I've been loyal... wish I could say the same for Harley Davidson.

HD cuts out a little each year on the CVO'S unbelievable BS when I think about it. I like to know why your paying more getting less !! Good Luck With the New Ride !!

I'm still mad about No tool kit. Lol.
But paying $3K extra for a CVO paint job (although it is finally a paint that's worthy of a CVO)
and than the $1K mandatory Surcharge. Ugh....

I agree fully. Harley lost me as a customer after I sold my 2020 CVO Limited. The way they remove things and charge more is despicable.

Well, there are justified price increases due to component and labor cost increases and then there is dealer markups. I believe the tide is turning already and will become evident in the next few months where sales of big ticket items are slowing down fast. I know waiting is hard when you see something you really want but that bike you bought will be thousands less in mid or late summer as dealer inventory piles up.

Well, you paid it.
I look at new bike prices and walk away shaking my head.
But i hope you enjoy your ride.

That's unfortunately the problem. HD knows we'll grumble under our breath while they wring our wallets out like sponges. For example an upcharge for paint on a bike that already has, well, and upcharge for paint is absurd. They get a free pass like no company I've ever seen. And that includes one from me, guilty as charged :)

I wont ride another brand but there are options. Buy in the winter, buy low mileage used bikes, be willing to travel to get it. I've done all that and bought new cvo's at or just below msrp, used cvo's at the trade in price from private sellers. I once went to Durango from VA and bought a 6 year old cvo sg with 1000 miles on it at half price of original msrp, another time took my trailer to Texas and bought a 3 year cvo sg with 2300 miles on it at 40% off original msrp. Its harder these days but I bet in December/January there will be deals again if you are willing to look.

I took delivery on my Wicked Orange Limited. This is my 4th CVO and they have really cut back on what comes on a CVO. No tool kit, only one headset, No XM. The up charge for paint on a CVO is BS.
-
Yes, the paint upcharge on the cvo's this year is crazy.
-
Kojak.....I did the same thing for the one I have now....

ok ok! let us see a pic of that wicked orange monster!! :apple: :carrot: :jalapeno: :cucumber: :orange: :huepfenjump3:

Here's mine, in mid- modification..

Like the wheels. 👍

Nothing like a orange/black cvo! Classic.

After trading in my 2015 FLTRUSE for a 2022 FLTRXSE I found myself missing all of the items that focused on touring from the old bike. I really enjoyed new bike but found myself missing my Road Glide Ultra. I wound up trading in the bike for a 2022 FLTRKSE in Dantes Inferno. I couldn’t be happier bike runs well and looks great. Like a lot of Harleys it looks much better in person than it does in the photos. I thought the darker part of the bike were black, They are actually a very dark dark maroon.

A buddy just got his this past week and it was ordered 3 months ago. I'm seeing more and more pix of them popping up on the net. HD must have batch painted colors this year and that is the last one they're doing. Looks great. Congrats.

I think this is my favorite 22 ultra. Enjoy. Looks beautiful!! Stuart 👌👌👌👍👍👍

That is beautiful :2vrolijk_21:

I think what bothers me on the Ultra is no stretched bags, no saddlebag speakers and yes, no tool kit and no passenger headset...
WTF is up with that? :nixweiss:
I still love my Gunship Grey 2018.. but was pissed off as hell when they brought the color back in the standard line...

Its never had stretched bags, but sure should.
Don't forget XM and CB were also eliminated.
I was not happy when the Harley 1 design on two of the 19 CVO's can out on the Special the next year, not same colors but same design..
-
Well, I agree with some of it but not all. Limited/Ultra models look better with standard saddlebags than the stretched ones. They already have lowers, tourpak and the bags complete a classic look. Saddlebag speakers are about as useless for riding as the tourpak speakers these bikes come with. If I had a say, I would rather have 4 upfront, 2 upper fairing and 2 lower front fairing. I agree with the stuff they keep taking off is just crazy for bikes in this price point.

XM doesnt work (well) out here anyway... just like Sirius... so we get a rebate.
The stretched bags.. figure that.. Identical colors on two different bikes... whats that cost the moco? in invetory and production versus 1 part number?
even the saddlebag lids!

I know this is old But I had to add a Yellow to the mix with some cool new wheels!!!
